Went from plastic to aluminum was a smart choice.it was easy to install.has great quality for the value.there was no leaks when replaced. Fit perfect with no modifications. Performs exactly the way it should. I had mix feeling about purchasing this item reading the reviews,but after installing it I'm more than happy with it. I highly recommend changing over to aluminum,I had a small leak forever,but not no more .great buy.

Fit perfectly and easy to install. Better than the original plastic one. Truck was over heating and this make it work like new again. Auto repair place wanted almost $1000 for this job, did it myself for a few bucks here

For the 4th time i needed to replace my regular plastic housing on my 2004 Ford Ranger 4L. So decided this time to give this metal one a try. I was worried about the type of gasket it has on the bottom of the housing. Had to use a little tacky stuff to hold it in place as i mounted it. After a over a month and more then 300 miles it is still working fine, no leaks. I used one of the sensors it came with and had to buy a new one as my truck takes two gray sensors, not one brown one like they all come. Time will tell. hope it last longer then the others. Thermostat that it came with seems to work just fine in these summer months so far.

So far so good! Excellent updated version from plastic to aluminum fits perfectly, I had previously ordered the plastic one it was a piece of junk lasted only 6 months and it begun leaking water , so I went with the aluminum one and it’s been great I highly recommend it-Cheers

The part is beautifully cast and extremely smooth. The gaskets were a perfect fit as well, I highly recommend this as an upgrade to the factory plastic piece as mine was heavily corroded and leaking.

Fit fine, and most importantly, doesn’t leak and won’t crack. I had to transplant one of my temperature sensors into it because my Ranger had 2 identical sensors (both gray) instead of one brown and one gray. Would’ve been 5 stars otherwise.
