This can opener is great, it opens can effortlessly. the main issue I have with all battery operated can openers is that if the battery dies in the middle of opening a can it is a complete pain to get it off the can. you cannot replace the batteries because the can blocks access to the battery compartment. It is a design flaw with every battery operated can opener. The rechargeable battery ones at least you can plug it in to get a boost to be able to finish opening the can but the AA battery ones are terrible. I would suggest getting a rechargeable one instead

Enjoy fine metal shavings in all your favorite foods! Seriously this is a health hazard and shouldn't be for sale. There are metal shavings all around the can, not where the cutting overlaps. It is so fine that people may not even notice they are peppering their food with toxic aluminum.

This can opener is cool! It takes 4 AA batteries to power it but you can just set it on the can, it attaches via magnets, you press the button, and it starts spinning and opening the can! It makes a much cleaner opening without super sharp edges that I normally get from a manual one. I like that I can set it and let it work while I prep other things. The opener has a little tab at the top that you can use to remove the top after it's been opened.

This worked well and did a good job cutting. It doesn't leave any sharp edges as it cuts below the rim on the side of the can. It is easy to place on the cans and get started. It worked well for all size cans, even the tiny tomato paste cans. However, it was very slow to make it's way all the way around the can. I had to be patient while it was working. You need to allow it a second or two to stop working once the button is pushed to stop it. There is a lid remover groove on the tip to lift the lid up as the magnet may not be strong enough to pull the lid off.I love that it is a handheld device that can be stored in a drawer rather than having to sit on the counter or be mounted to cabinets.

This electric can opener works in a few novel ways: 1) it's magnetic so it holds fast to the top of the can; 2) it works parallel to the top of the can as opposed to perpendicular like most manual openers; and 3) it cuts the outside of the can all the way around instead of just inside of the top. This is both innovative and the source of its one major flaw.Since the opener cuts the outside of the can all the way around, when the lid is removed it has a small lip all the way around. This removes the sharp edges you get with a manual can opener, but it makes it so that the lid can't be used effectively to drain whatever is in the can. The first can we opened was tuna fish. I usually separate the lid and then press down on it with the inverted can to drain all the water into the sink. With this opener you cannot press down on the removed lid because it is as wide as the whole can, so we had a little bit more moisture in our tuna salad since we could only drain the liquid via gravity. For cans that do not have excess liquid, this is not an issue, but for tuna and beans, it's more difficult to remove the liquid entirely. The opener also requires four AA batteries, which are not included, as you would expect from this price. Overall, I do recommend this can opener with the caveat I mention.

This is like the world's coolest invention. You place the can opener on the can, press the on button, watch it automatically spin around, all by its own power, and when its done the can is ready to be opened. I showed this to two people just today and both were basically shocked at how well it functioned. I think its also a really good value at the current price of $16.

I saw that this has upgraded blades, so I ordered this can opener in hopes that it does a better job than the one I currently have. I like that pushing the button changes direction of opening, sometimes opening a can the other way is better for whatever reason. There is also a little groove at the tip of the opener; this is to pry open the lid, once the can went through the opener. Had I not browsed the instructions, I would have ignored this because you can't hardly see it.
