I purchased these shoe spikes over a year ago. Very durable and easy to use. Once I notice dry spots in my lawn I will go over the effected areas and add turf builder triple action to give my grass a boost. Works every time. Just make sure the grass is not to saturated when you are using the spikes.

Works as describedSpikes not very beefyStraps are kinda smallI wear US 12-13. Can’t get on boots as straps are too smallWearing tennis shoes I tried to mow the lawn. My stride was not vertical enough and bent the spikesContacted seller for replacement spikes. They said the would send. They asked about urgency. I said not urgent. Been over a month. No spikes yetCan’t recommend for a large yard. I have 1/3 of an acreWith the stride required to be effective that’s a stretch but doableHave to straighten the spikes after getting close to tree roots

Straps on easy although I recommend wearing a pair of high socks with your shoes because the straps are very thick and secure against your ankles.I recommend this product and it is as described. I’ve used it twice now and have had good results in the area I needed to improve.

For half the cost of one 4-hour rental of a power aerator these work great. I'm 260 with a size 13 shoe and had no problems in the 2 times I've used them. It is a bit of a workout (kinda a plus for me) and you do have to take it slow and pay attention - if you don't pick up your feet when you walk (like mom told me all those years ago) you will likely trip and fall. It does help that my yard is only 625 square feet!

Ordered the lawn aerator shoes because we have been paying a lawn maintenance company for over 1 year and still not seeing any results. Shoes are easy to use, very sturdy and has great grip. In fact, you can hear the rocks crunching underneath. I used it 2x per week and coupled with grass seeds and fertilizer. In a matter of 3 weeks, the grass started to get thicker and greener. Neighbors also stopped by to say how great the lawn looks. Overall, very impressed with the shoes. In fact, neighbor also bought a pair to work on his lawn.

Not very happy with these spikes. While 0 assembly was awesome, about half the spikes bent within minutes of use. Twisted my ankle and fell. I was able to bend the spikes straight again, but they continued to bend. After about 3 hours of use, I had to stop multiple times to bend the spikes straight again.I bought another brand with same length spikes and haven’t had any issues like this.I really wanted to like these because they are all metal, but not worth the cost imo.

I'm a 6'1", 350-lb. man, so I wasn't sure I was going to be able to use these. I'm happy to report that these particular lawn aerators are very sturdy and worked beautifully! My size 13W Skechers just fit, and the Velcro straps were long enough. I wore them while mowing my 5300-sq ft yard, and I didn't have any problems.I saw the negative reviews about the plastic ones breaking, and I knew those weren't for me. I also think the pre-assembled spikes and Velcro straps are both big improvements over the cheaper alternatives. The Velcro kept the shoes in place, and the spikes performed well. One of the spikes did get slightly bent went I stepped on a rock that was under the surface, but I used a pair of pliers to bend it back into place and continued on with the job. I'm very happy with these, and would recommend them to friends and family.

This tool works as intended but don't think it's a quick fix for your soil compaction problems. First, the tool is well made to last with a metal plate, unlike others which are all plastic and break easily. Second, the velcro straps work well, although I recommend you don't try to simply slip them on and go. Ensure you thread them correctly and snugly -- and put them on where you intend to walk. Don't walk across the sidewalk, etc ... they're not made to walk on concrete. Third, ensure you have them strapped on tight. You will have to "learn" how to walk in them, so go slow and steady - you're not running a race. Best worn with boots. Third, when walking try to stay more on the front of your foot and stay balanced. If you don't have good balance and or strength in your legs, don't buy this product - use another tool. Fourth, if it's the least bit wet, you'll need to use the provided tool to scrape chunks off so keep that tool handy. Fifth, this is best used for limited areas, such as a 10 x 12 section that is compacted. So, I liked the sturdiness over other similar products and the provided scrapping tool to leverage chunks of dirt/mud off the bottom. Now, another comment, if your soil is compacted, aerating is only the first step ... you should get a soil amendment, like mulch or peat moss, to solve the issue. However, these shoes are the first step unless you want to till by hand or rake. After use, it's perfect to put down seed/fertilizer.
