Q:My car is still giving me an error code P2015 when this intake manifold is installed.

2. Or follow the following step. The P2015 code indicates an issue with the intake manifold runner position sensor. This sensor is responsible for monitoring the position of the intake manifold runners, which are used to control airflow into the engine.

There are a few possible causes for this error code, including:

  • A faulty intake manifold runner position sensor
  • A problem with the wiring or connectors to the sensor
  • A problem with the engine control unit (ECU)

To troubleshoot this issue, I recommend the following steps:

  1. Check the wiring and connectors to the intake manifold runner position sensor. Make sure that the connections are secure and that there is no damage to the wiring.
  2. If the wiring and connectors are OK, then you will need to test the intake manifold runner position sensor. This can be done using a diagnostic scan tool.
  3. If the intake manifold runner position sensor is faulty, then you will need to replace it.

This intake manifold immediately removed the oh so common P2015 engine code on my 2011 VW Tiguan. The job is sort of a pain though.

UPDATE: Please BEFORE installation check the actual value in channel 142!!! You'll avoid a huge headache.I had to get rid of P2015 to pass the smog check. It turned out that the position sensor angle is wrong. Check channel 142 in scan tool, on idle and low load the sensor should show 0%, mine was at 35%. I drilled the new holes at about 2mm and filed the plastic. Also the plastic pin that moves the position sensor had too much play, I put a small piece of a glove rubber in the square hole. Tested by manually moving the actuation rod, got the 0-95% range.The original vacuum flaps actuator arm fell off the intake manifold after about 140k miles. I installed the product but my car has DTC P2015 now. I contacted the seller and they were not helping at all.

Seems to be good quality. The vacuum switch included with it was not correct, I had to swap the one off the old manifold. Other than that it works fine.

Very nice unit, this is the second unit I have purchased. I have carbon cleaned the intake on my daughters 2009 VW 2.0 engine 2 years ago. I replace the OEM unit and did a carbon clean. This unit fit well and it should last at least 2 years! I just sold the car and NO Check Engine light!!!
