It’s the old black one. Not the updated gray ones. But fit great in my 2002 vw beetle. Great for the price

Relay defective; returned to Amazon no problem. Blades were slightly thicker than VW original. Made it much more difficult to plug into socket. Dash lights lite up like a Christmas tree. Original back in no problem. One more time, I started engine with the new one.. 4 dash lights on.. turned ignition off.. engine continued to run.. even pulled key out.. engine continued to run. Had to pull fuses, one-by-one, until one fuse with no description.. (serviced by VW software only) shut off the engine. Reinstalled original.. back running again. No mfgr source country that I could find on part.
