Like many others have said, I thought I was getting something else. I am still giving it 3 stars because the item that did arrive, was still useful but not what I thought I was getting

The item description is copy pasted from another website: however, seller forgot to copy+paste this is a pilot operated valve, not direct action. Out of curiosity, I tested the valve setting up a couple of hoses and my air compressor and it works fine: sadly I need a direct acting solenoid valve. The valve it self is well built

Was pretty confused when I opened this up as there's no instructions on how to connect the unit and it's not immediately clear how to do it. You have to unscrew the flathead in the plastic top and pull the whole assembly off of the switch. The inside which contains the contacts will come out of the clear plastic housing. This inner assembly contains screw contacts which are what you're supposed to use to connect the wires, as shown in my second photo. Polarity of + and - technically doesn't matter for the solenoid, but since there's an LED you want to connect the positive side to the end with the resistor attached to not blow up the LED. Then feed the wires through the tube, reassemble everything and insert the screw back in.
