Suffers from lack of air, with the only inlet being the door damper, the back half of it builds a lot of charcoal and doesn't burn logs evenly. Poor build quality the seems leak smoke horribly and fills the whole tent with smoke. Came with a Chimney brush which is nice. Given it's size, expect to process wood into smaller and shorter pieces. Once coals were established could get about an hour to hour and half of fire burning a mix of maple and alder wood. All in all, it's fine if you get it on sale, has adjustable legs and a few accessories which is handy. But be prepared to work a bit harder than other stoves would have you. Recommend for day time use if you're just hanging out in the tent with the door open.

This super small. I knew it would be small I just didn't realize it was that small. Suppose to heat 500sq ft. My building is bought it for is 432 square ft. I don't think this is going to heat it. I may be sending it back because the door doesn't have a seal on it and is gapped. I gave it 3 stars because the pipes seem to work well even though they are wobbly. Needs to come with an elbow. A fireplace shovel barly fits threw the door. Definitely cannot fit 13" logs in it. More like thick sticks.

1/5/2025 update. From 3 stars to 1 stars.Bout this for a winter camping trip i have coming up in January. But after using it 3 time for other events I'm more hesitant to use in my hot tent. 1st the chimney stack base is not fully welded which will let smoke seep out instead of going up the pipe. Both tray rack were not welded right and 2 rails broke off 1 on each rack. The attachment point for the legs are just compression nut inserts and are shakey and are exposed to the fire on the inside. I now it now the most expensive stove out there but I figured it be done better the this.(Update) after using the stove for my intended camping trip that had bought it for. During the night I woke up to smoke in my tent and fire visible through the chimney pipe base. I guess the weight of the smoke stack broke the tack welds of the base. I had to rush to puy out the fire and oper my tent doors to vent out my tent.

This is a great little stove for the price. the only peeves I had was that the stove pipe fit together too tightly, and it took almost 2 hours to get apart after the first burn. so i made some relief cuts with a grinder as you can see in the pics. I cut both ends and polished with my dermal, I make sure cuts are not on same side when I put it together. Now it only takes 5 minutes to get apart. After a couple of uses the front doors rivets started to loosen. I tapped them on each side with two hammers until the rivets were tight again. But all and all very pleased with the weight and function and easy to carry all in one bag. You probably wouldn't want to carry it 20km or anything, but for winter camping in a hot tent, pulling a sled isn't so bad, Cheers, Darrell

Doesn't throw enough heat even in very small spaces.

After reading the reviews on this item I went ahead and purchased it thinking about all what I had read and I was actually very pleasantly surprised. Considering the size etc it is a pretty cool item and there is a fully functional damper on the front which I believe some people were perhaps not aware as they posted about circulation and venting. Another person had drilled holes into it which is an option but be careful for ashes, embers and sparks. If you are a handy person you could also consider installing a small damper in the pipe, the concern I do have as well as others is to have to constantly feed it wood, we are going to get to work on how to get the most out of this stove without getting up every hour for heat. Great portable stove though and we will find the best way to utilize..

To be clear this is the kind of stove you tow on a sled and not on your backpack. Burns efficiently but twigs and small diameter branches burn quickly and it's better suited to split hardwoods. Adjustable height and a simple design with no glass to break, just solid cast walls and a perfect spot to boil water and dry your gloves.

I was excited to get this "little" stove, and it is impressive. I was able to get a fire started fairly quickly. With the small opening it poses a pecular start. Once I got some larger twigs in there it was going along nicely. I was able to boil some water for hot chocolate while I was out there. The fire maintained itself really with the stove pipes drawing the smoke up very well. The stove weight and build is a very good balance. Quality materials were used and everything seemed very machined. The pipes are made with a heavy gauge single wall stainless steel, comes with a flue brush. The legs went on very quickly and seem super stable. The tool for the door worked very well. Using the tool on the damper was good until it was getting hotter. It became hard almost stuck to try to move it. I didnt get a chance to see about adjusting it. I will probably keep it in the most open position as that allowed for an awesome burn and very nice heat. I did not have to drill any additional holes. You will want to quarter small logs mostly for this stove. Twigs worked well and the 3" log did get caught up in the flame after a bit. Great stove, the discriptions on the site are all there and accurate. So know what your buying so you can maximize your joy, hahaha! Great product, I highly recommend! The first picture is day 2!
