VMQ O-Ring
- Hardness: 50A
- Temperature: -22℉ (-30℃) to 392℉ (200℃)
Circular Cross-Section
- They are circular in shape, round in cross-section.
- Designed for use in a wide variety of sealing applications.
- Commonly provide a pressure and fluid seal between cylindrically shaped, overlapping mating surfaces and are commonly seen in engines, faucets, flanges, valves, and various cylinders.
Silicone Rubber O-Ring
- Noted for their ability to be used over a wide temperature range and for excellent resistance to ozone, weathering, and aging.
- Standard silicones are resistant to water (to 100°C), aliphatic engine and transmission oils and animal and plant oils, and fats.
- Silicones are generally not resistant to fuels, aromatic mineral oils, steam (short term to 120°C is possible), silicone oils and greases, acids, or alkalis.

The boiler o-ring made specifically for the earliest Coffee Gaggia espresso machine boilers might be no longer available; at least I couldn't find one. This one fit perfectly in my boiler. So far, no leaks under pressure.

The O-ring is excellent, but I was mistaken about the cross-section diameter that I required. Unfortunately, it wouldn't fit (as the sealing ring for a UV lamp housing in a pond filter unit).

I have a bottle cutter that requires rings to be placed either side of the score on the glass so when hot water is applied on the scores line there's a barrier to the rest of the glass.

Seems to work fine with my Bissell Pro Heat & didn't have to purchase $18 float assembly for just a gasket that wears out for taking apart to clean.
