Reusable DIY Walkway Pavement Paving Moulds

This is a plastic paving mould for making concrete ( or red clay ) garden paths. The mould consists of regular hexagonal holes that can be filled with cement slurry inside the mould, then the upper part is smoothed hand and when the cement is almost dry, the filling mould is taken out and stone sand is sprinkled over the gaps. advisable to coat the moulds with oil to make them easier to . The concrete moulds can be used again and again until a whole has been completely created.

Instructions for use

  1. Level the paved surface.
  2. Choose the placing position and lower the mould.
  3. Pour the concrete mix into the mould.
  4. Make the surface of the mould smooth and compress the concrete in the mould.
  5. Wait for the concrete to cure, but if the concrete mould is not completely dry, separate the concrete mould from the concrete.

If you wish to colour match the pavement, you can mix concrete pigments and cement at a ratio of 1:25 and follow the above method.

I cut them with a hacksaw to make it so they would be able to split open to strip after the concrete got hard. Works really nice. 5 forms make 35 pavers, which is almost exactly one 60lbs bag of concrete. You can actually make 37 pavers. I use vegetable oil for form oil and apply it with a brush. If you pour them on visqueen , vibrate the forms a little bit, you get and nice smooth finish and on the top side use a sponge when it is just starting to get hard to make a rougher side .Just pouring them on the ground and pulling the form might work if you don’t care what they look like. I wish they would just sell a bag of 40 individual hexagons, it would make things easier.

This is really need to make mold out of to make like steps in the ground. I really like it. I do recommend it.
