We have a PC that is about ten feet between the monitor and the tower case. We just fitted a new desk mounted monitor stand and it has a slot for hiding cables. But this means that the cables need to follow new rules and can't just short cut across the desk.Ideally we wanted about a VGA cable about 10 or 12 feet long cable but this 30 feet long one became available and we tried it.Unfortunately when we saw the image quality there was a noticeable degradation. Both sharpness and color saturation were reduced. It wasn't appalling but it was not as good as previously. So I refitted the old awkward short cable.VGA is a dinosaur that we need to get away from. I think I will get a new graphics card and go HDMI. That should be more resistant to longer cable runs with any luck.

I have a group of headless servers that don't normally need a monitor connected. At times there may be an issue where I need to view the video of the server console. This cable allows me to connect a VGA monitor at my desk to the servers on the other side of the room in a closet. The cable connections are really tight, so tight I was concerned about bending pins. This may be a slight manufacturing flaw, but otherwise the cable is fine.
