I own every pair of timbale sticks on the market. These were the only pair that were matched (others even out of 8 sticks I couldn't get a matched pair). For what that's worth.It says in the description their size. My opinion is the length let's you have more control of all sounds on the timbale. For me the thickness density combination lets me get a nice chict chict sound on the cascara instead of a chewh chewh sound that you get with thicker sticks which is what I like about my vintage brass timbales. They manage to accomplish this without being full old-school tiny twigs. I'd say it depends on the bells whether or not your going to like this weight reduction but at least they feel really good in the hand no special work required to get used to them. .If you want to paint them red you could just do that yourself.

The early October morning I ordered the Vic Firth World Classic Timbale 17'' x 1/2'' I was under the impression a pair of sticks would arrive at my front door within a week. After two solid weeks of shipping time all that I received in the parcel is one drum stick, not what I expected. A more specific product description that says 1 pc piece or 1 stick or 1 unit would have been more helpful for me to see on your product page so that I would know exactly what was being sold. I have not seen drum sticks sold online as singles before this and there are Timbale stick pairs available for sale at comparable prices. It is a good quality stick as was shown in the product photo with no imperfections or cracks with a nice weight and dimensions. I now own a spare drum stick for my pair that will be arriving next week.

I've always used the TMB1's because of the sturdiness and quality, I wouldnt use anything else unless its the TMB2's....Its a great stick for Timbaleros....you get the response you need without adding any extra effort....

These timbale sticks have the right size and weight for getting the best sound from my timbale, and at the same time to feel comfortable. The delivery was fine, also.

These are the best sticks that I ever played with, 17" long, reduces significantly the efford to play and expands the reach range. The weigth is perfectly balanced. Just perfect!!!!
