Great lens! May be inexpensive, but a very good, sharp lens. Well worth the price.Used to own Fuji 35mm f2 premium lens. Barely used it. This lens has replaced my 16-80 as my standard walk about lens.

Best x mount for portrait 👌Slightly heavy , if you're using a small body

Extremely well built lens, all metal construction, excellent sharpness and superb light gathering abilty. Beautiful bokeh and renders colors very well. Also very quick focusing. Really no discernible weaknesses. Also love the 27mm field of view which is equivalent to 40mm due to the crop factor of the aps-c sensor. Just a fantastic lens. Truly pro quality at an affordable price.

It's a stellar lens, sharper than any Fuji lens that I owned, with beautiful bokeh and defocused areas, front or back, rendering a 3d apperance. The focal distance is the optimal one that I have wished for, not too narrow for environmental portraits and not too wide for a close shot. Contrary to what some people think, I don't find this lens big or heavy at all. It balances well on XT-? (with hand grip) and has no problem on an XH-??. Very satisfied with the purchase. Will update on feedback after gaining more experience under challenging lighting conditions as well as testing on video performance. It's a major upgrade on these optical properties from its previous generation of Viltrox lenses, especially shown on the color and contrast.

I recently shook up my Fujifilm lens kit. I purchased this to help pare down my selection of lenses. Sold off my 23f2 and a 35mm and replaced them with this viltrox 27mm as it is a great intermediate focal length. This lens is exceptionally sharp, well built and has a great f1.2 aperture with beautiful bokeh. The build quality is equal Fuji’s native lenses in my opinion, at half the price. If Viltrox continues making lenses as good as these pro series lenses they are going to be the ones to watch going forward. Very much feels like they are headed the direction of Sigma and Tamron as one of the major players in the third party market.

Rocked the Viltrox 27mm 1.2 on my X-H2 all weekend at my local anime con. I have been pleased with it's performance taking pictures around the house, but didn't really get a chance to use it hard for lots of portraits until now.It really felt like the perfect length, I wasn't having any issues with not having enough room for full body shots, and didn't have to get weirdly close for half body (especially since I was using flash.) Most single person shots I took at 1.8 for max sharpness, and then duos at 2.8. Opened wider for some artsy detail shots or just if I needed more light.I am exceedingly pleased with it. Yes, it is a heavy and large lens, but for bodies like the X-H2/s, this feels completely natural and well balanced. I would also recommend this to X-T5 body owners as long as they are ok with it possibly feeling unbalanced. This lens has an incredible value to performance ratio. If you shoot portraits or often in low light, this (and it's 75mm brother) are almost mandatory to buy.

Havent gone out to shoot with it yet, only testing at home but I can say this is the nicest lens I own right nowEdit: Ive been out shooting with it enough to say both the 27mm and the 75mm are both in fact the best lenses I own

I recently got into photography and started off with a kit lens which already allowed me to take great photos. This lens was able to improve my portrait photos by a lot! The only issue(?) is that there seems to be some natural vignette in some of the photos I take, but it doesn't ruin the photo. Would recommend especially at this price point!

This is my second Viltrox lens and the images coming out of these newer lenses are amazing. Sharp, great color, and great focus. Love the low aperture so I can get great depth of field and shoot in low light. Bokeh is great as well and the little lenses flare you get shooting into the sun is not intrusive at all. I actually feel like lenses flare adds to most photos if you do it right. Overall great lenses. As good as my Fuji lenses if not better. And the software update process is easy with the USB C port. Very happy with this product!

Sharp wide open, corner to corner, as other reviewers say. Super high quality build. Great aperture ring. Just a bit heavy, but balances OK on my X-T5. (Too front heavy for my X-S20, but doable if you must.) Images are stellar on the 40 mp sensor. 112.5 mm focal length with F1.2 fun to use for everything except macro work. Loved the 75mm so much I also bought the Viltrox Pro 27mm and am delighted with that too. I previously ordered and returned a red badge Viltrox lens due to obvious chromatic aberration, but these PRO series lenses are really stellar at 1/2 the price of a Fuji branded equivalent lens. A bit of a hassle trying to navigate the crude Viltrox website to download latest firmware updates. Highly recommended.

This is a solid, well built lens. Heavy but understandably so as the body is all metal and there is a lot of glass. At f2 or f2.8 the bokeh is delicious and the images razor sharp. Autofocus is quick and accurate. My only quibble is with updating firmware. No “Update completed” type message but I got it done. Price makes this lens a bargain.

This lens performs well above its price point. The auto-focus works great. The bokeh is creamy. I don't notice chromatic aberrations or any distortion.I did a portrait session at a Tulip Farm, and this lens performed perfectly for the situation.Optically, the lens feels close to perfection. My one complaint would be the auto focus motor isn't as snappy as I'd like. Fix that, and I'd gladly pay more. Without the fix, this lens is still a bargain. I'd recommend this to my friends. If you're fine with the extra reach, I think this lens performs better than Fuji's 56mm f1.2 (another optically great lens).
