Only problem had was hardware bag had opened and package was damaged and most of hardware had fallen out. Replacement hardware bag ttok 3 days to arrive and while it had all hardware for ladder it also had a lot of hardware I did't need. Works good and my insurance company was satisfied it prevented unwanted children from climbing into the pool

The ladder itself was easy to assemble. But it isn’t to steady and lifts off the pool floor when climbing in.The safety feature of being able to lift the outside ladder was a big draw but it easily falls if the ladder shifts at all.Full disclosure we don’t have a flat surface to set the ladder on.

My husband and son put it together. They had No problem. The instructions were kind of vague but they used the pictures and followed the instructions. The ladder itself is good except it’s a little wobbly. My husband is working on trying to make it more stable.

We used this ladder to replace the one supplied with our pool. This ladder is sturdier and more comfortable to step on. The ladder being adjustable is a big plus! When I built a wooden walkway to the pool I only had to adjust one side to keep everything level. This ladder is 5he way to go!!

I bought this ladder for my on-ground pool, after searching for the product that offered the best safety. The ladder is rated for up to 300 pounds. After assembling it per instructions, I had two members of my family who weigh 240 and 290 pounds respectively try it. As they climbed the ladder, it trembled and wobbled. I could see how the legs began to bend under the weight. The handles are weak, particularly at the top, they could easily break. It would be so easy to have an accident using this ladder. It cost me $248.53. Since it is not broken, according to the return instructions I would have to ship it to the seller, which would cost me $167 with the cheapest option, UPS. Adding packing materials, I would have to spend $184 for the return, in effect recovering just $64.53 assuming a full refund. So I won't return it, I will just throw it away,

1. All parts were present and intact even with a hole in the side of box from shipping.2. Instructions were crumpled into almost a ball but readable once flattened out and they are easy to follow.3. Assembly is not too bad but there are some aggravating areas that don't quite add up to the instructions forcing you to make your own adaptations. 3hrs to assemble with modifications you will need sockets, wrenches, drill, drill bit assortment, tape measure, permanent marker and treated wood.4. Build quality, aesthetics mostly good except handrails they are flimsy and don't provide much support I don't believe they would break easily but still wobbly handrails on a wet pool ladder is a possible accident waiting to happen.5. I had to put 2 4x4x8 posts set into the ground on both sides extending up to the side of the handrails and attaching them with carriage bolts a added cost and time but needed for stability and peace of mind.6. Overall a improvement over the tube generic ladder most pool manufacturers provide with a pool kit.7. Is it worth the cost.. I think so, looks good works good but bear in mind some modification most likely will occur to get it right for your application along with threading a watermelon thru a doughnut hole while spinning a nut on a screw assembly.5.

Bought this ladder to use with our semi-above ground pool. For those who don't know what this is, picture an above ground pool, but it's sunken in a foot or so. I was a little skeptical based on the reviews, but no other ladder seemed to have the features I needed.Assembly took a few hours, but this takes into account having to compensate for the offset depths. I had to cut my outside legs, which worked out fine. If you have to do this as well, I recommend taking off less than you think you need. Measure from the bottom of the outside legs before putting the base pieces on. I did have to go back and take an additional few inches off, which is a bit of an inconvenience, but better than cutting too short and having to figure out what to do later. Take your time, things will go easy. Lay out your parts ahead of time. You'll need a 7/16th box wrench at a minimum. 7/16th deep socket will help for some of the bolts. Coping saw or hacksaw if you need to trim the legs. (It cuts easy.) Rubber mallet helps for some parts of the assembly. Those are the bare minimum tools you will need. I found using one of my bar clamps to hold the top pieces in line while bolting together helped a lot.Once assembled, I laid out patio paver blocks to rest the outside foot on. Attached bolts to top rail (1/4" drill bit and drill needed for this step). All was good. Ladder was pretty sturdy, which leads me to believe that folks who complain it's wobbly maybe didn't attach to the top rail of the pool. I have little to no wiggle on the ladder when going in or out. Side note: Have someone sit or stand on the ladder when tightening, as the top will go down just enough to allow the bolts to feel a little loose. Also, if you are bolting to the inside edge (over the water) of the pool, when drilling you might want to have someone hold something like a paper plate to catch the shavings and keep them from going in the pool.I took a star off for two reasons. First is that the base on each side wants to pop off any chance it gets. Yes, they include screws to affix the base to the legs, but using this "slots and pegs" (it'll make sense when you see it) method in this section caused the base to fall off a few times while moving the ladder. Second is that the safety latch doesn't seem as sturdy as I would like it to be. Granted, we don't have kids to worry about here, but this is worth noting for folks who are buying this ladder for the sliding steps.
