These are perfect for the Vivo clamp on keyboard trays. The typical space with the default hardware on those is or becomes way too short under the desk, so that your keyboard barley makes it under when you push the tray under the desk. A mouse won't fit at all! BUT, with these height adjustable plates you can now add them to the keyboard tray and get a really good clearance for your keyboard & mouse! These should come automatically with those clamp on trays since everyones desktops are a different thickness. These are a bit pricey for what they are, but darn well worth it!

Ever since I first got the old version of the Vivo keyboard tray, I had been yearning to be able to add some space between the tray and the underside of my desk, as the original clearance was not enough to comfortably use my keyboard with the tray under my desk.My prayers were mostly answered when the height adjustment kit was launched...I got everything setup. The first time I used it, I had installed it to give me the maximum clearance, which worked in theory and (while a little flimsy) has held for a few months of use somewhat reliably.This is a daily impactor of life for me, as I spend roughly 80% of my waking life behind my keyboard and ergonomics are essential.My life is better with more clearance for typing with the tray positioned under my desktop.But then there's the problem: VERY poor quality hardware. The screws are very weak metal and prone to stripping. They're also not quite long enough to give a rock solid anchor to the tray - it does get a tad wobbly. The set comes with no spare screws.This would be fine if I had set this 100 percent perfectly the first time and never needed to adjust it; however, the whole point of it having multiple heights is (presumably) so it can be adjusted and after the inital install, one of my screws had been stripped beyond utility preventing me from making any adjustments to my tray height.Update: While I did encounter the issues mentioned before, after months more of using it after the initial review, the sheer utility of the height extenders after they are installed helps counterbalance the fact that the hardware screws were weak. I've gone up to 4 stars from 3, but given that the screw quality and materials are essential to using this product, I would still say that buyers should be prepared to buy replacement screws (like I ultimately had to do) if they want to be able to adjust the height.

I'm glad I found these adjuster plates. They do exactly what they're supposed to and they were the final missing pieces of the ergonomic puzzle that I've been struggling with for a while. I had no idea they could be purchased separately until I desperately went hunting for a solution to my too-high Vivo keyboard tray. Lo and behold, there was a solution all along. Maybe it was mentioned in the tray instructions. I don't remember. Either way, Vivo should have included these plates instead of making them a separately purchased item.Five stars on the product; one on the inconvenience and being nickel and dimed.

The provided screws are too short and also very prone to stripping.This is a great option to add some flexibility to your keyboard tray positioning, but you should get slightly longer screws to help reinforce the bracket.Update, after a few weeks using this. This junk and comes loose very easily. Not worth the headache of trying to maguyver a solution to VIVO's junk products.

The screws that come with this product to address to one of the supported keyboard trays are not long enough and will eventually get loose. You'll need to purchase longer screws to resolve

Only Seville Classics sells a keyboard tray in the length I want, and only Vivo sells a keyboard tray with a height adjustable bracket so it fits under my table. Vivo says that this bracket fits x y and z models of their lineup, which looks suspiciously similar to a large majority of the other keyboard trays on Amazon.Well it fits my Seville Classic one perfectly, and I'm sure it will fit any of the other keyboard trays that look similar/have a similar mounting system. Comes with screws.

This component actually required some searching because it is not referenced as an individual item you can order when you search for keyboard C clamp products. The Vivo listings include a pre-designed fixed length/width keyboard tray with height extensions, but it does not reference or connect to the extension components if you look at the rail product.I called Vivo and talked to Customer Rep to find out that I could purchase this component separately when ordering just the rail system to build my own custom keyboard tray.
