When it arrived it has a number of large dents in the drum. It is just too much work to send it back, but the drum is rather thin and will dent very easily. It will do to put tickets in for a raffle, but just so you know the product isn't very sturdy.

We sell 3 raffle items every year with different colored tickets, this looks great on the table. I did take the handles of and wired the drum to not move . Like other folks have said the tickets can fall out of the slot when turning the drum. We sell tickets for 5 months so this keeps unthinkable all together and not falling out.

If you want to use it with balls you’ll have to modify it a bit so, not the best for balls. Although works very good with tickets.

This is a great piece of statement décor I selected for our home office. The gold color is so bright, it really shines through! I especially like that it's functional. The handle turns the cage in full 360's. There is a handy little slot to insert tickets, index cards, etc. The "trap" door fully opens and the opening is large enough to fit an entire adult hand inside. I purchased the smaller size, rated for 3000 tickets.I am looking forward to admiring this beautiful piece in our home. And maybe we'll actually use it for a raffle one day! Now that I think about it, this would be great for door prizes at house parties or showers...

I found that the workmanship off the unit was not to good. The handle to open the barrel was flimsy and the dooreven when latched, items fell out of the crack around the door. unit was not balalnced so when unit was spun the door was aways on the bottom.

This raffle drum seems to be a great value for the cost. It held over 600 small tickets easily, but may not mix well with over 1,000 or 1,500. The slot must be taped over to prevent tickets from falling out) which is not unusual) and the mesh cage will catch some ticket corners as it spins.Still, it is visually better (for our purposes), than a plastic drum. This drum may not last with constant use (one side is missing a couple of tacks to the rolled frame) but should be fine for occasional use if stored correctly.
