This is a pro-sumer style product. It does everything an industrial shop reel does, just at a consumer price point of build and materials. What sets this reel apart from it's similarly priced competitors is design. The parts were thoughtfully engineered to allow the highest diversity of mounting locations. Do you need a fwd facing ceiling mounted reel? This will do it. Do you need a floor mounted reel that faces vertically, this will do it, do you need a wall mounted reel that faces straight down, this will do it. Do you need anything in between any of those situations, this reel can do it..With a stamped steel construction that is just as rigid as any cast unit, the economical design saves you money without sacrificing strength. The reel operates smoothly, with firm latching detents, and easy releases to reel. The hose has a nice feel, doesn't pick up dirt, reel stays clean. The machine quality of the fittings are about avg..The only thing this reel doesn't do, is swivel or pivot at the mounting base. You can come up with your own custom mounting solution with the money you saved, and still be under the retail price of similar industrial grade reels..Works great.

I bought two of the VIVOHOME air hose reels. I installed one and the first time that I applied air pressure the hose came loose from the fitting inside the reel. This is a manufacturer's defect. It was not properly crimped to the fitting. I tried to get a replacement, however Amazon's return policy doesn't seem to apply. I wrote a description of the problem in a form supplied by Amazon and it was supposed to go to the VIVOHOME hiding my email. However I still don't have instructions about how to return this one and get a replacement. I installed the other one that I ordered and it seems to be OK. I'm sure that the product is a good product that just had a bad crimp on the hose. My problem is that the communication method is not working.

I recently upgraded from my small 2 gallon air compressor to a much larger one. I quickly tired of the hose mess that comes along with the upgrade. I saw this Vivohome hose reel and it checked all of the boxes! Out of the box it had a nice durable feel to it and just felt like it was a quality product. Easy to drill into my garage/shop ceiling into a rafter. The pull out it smooth and I absolutely LOVE that it just sucks the hose right back up lol. It will last a long time for my small to medium sized projects!!

I use this hose reel primarily to feed air to my nail guns for my wood shop. I chose to mount it to the ceiling in the center of the 30' X 24' area. I can pull the amount of hose I need and not have extra hose strewn around the shop. The lock mechanism works well and holds the hose securely at the length I pull. The hose ends have 1/4" MPT that I attached to quick disconnects that I have in stock. I'm happy with the function of the hose reel, but the included mounting hardware was junk. I used bolts that I had so I could mount the reel easily and more securely.

This not only looks great but works good as well. A nice touch to the garage. This was very easy to install and retracts well. Well worth the cost and is built heavy.

I've been through my fair share of air hose reels over the years, so I was a bit skeptical about this VIVOHOME model, but it's seriously impressed me. The double-arm steel construction is no joke - this thing is built like a tank and doesn't wobble or flex when you're pulling the hose out. The 180° swivel mount is super convenient, and plan on installing it on my garage ceiling to save floor space & convenient access..The 50-foot hose length is perfect for our two-car garage, and I like that I can lock it at any length with a satisfying click (none of that flimsy plastic ratcheting). The retraction is smooth and controlled - no more having the hose whip back like a angry snake like my old reel did. One minor gripe is that the spring tension is pretty strong, so you need to guide the hose back rather than just letting it go.Only real downside I've found is that at 300 PSI max, it's not ideal if you're running really heavy-duty air tools that need higher pressure. Also, while the build quality is great so far, the mounting hardware that came with it was just okay - I will be using my own heavy-duty bolts instead.Overall though, for the average DIYer or weekend warrior, this reel is a solid choice that should last for years. The quality and functionality have definitely will make my garage work more efficient.
