I play hockey in an adult beer league once a week. These are great for a quick edge touch up. Please before you buy these know how to use them. These are not a replacement for skate sharpening but they do help in getting rid of minor dings on the blade edges with the stone side and a quick sharpening with the V side. I only do one pass on the V portion when I feel I need it. I normally have my skates sharpened professionally about twice an 18 game season to 5/8. This tool is great for the in-between touch up. Every hockey player should have one but PLEASE KNOW HOW TO USE IT!!!! You could potentially damage your blades. But otherwise for those that have used these before, this is by far the best that I have had in quality!

Great little pocket sharpener! When the skates are wonky and sliding around in all the wrong ways, couple of strokes with this and were gliding along again. Nice cost too.

I am a travel hockey coach, and a rec league coach. I keep this tool on me all the time while coaching. You never know when I player will get on the bench with a goofed up blade. It is so easy to just hit the blade with this tool and get them back on the next shift. The tool is very high quality and works exactly as expected. I highly recommend.
