  • 3 Special Coring Tines: Walensee lawn plug aerator is equipped with 3 tines featuring a tapered, beveled round tube design. The diameter gradually increases from small to large, followed by a straight tube, allowing the tool to smoothly penetrate the soil up to 4 inches and reduce the risk of clogging. This design also helps expel any old soil trapped inside the tube when the aerator is pulled out, ensuring both old and new soil are efficiently removed for a cleaner, more effective aeration.
  • Storage Tray for Soil Cores: This lawn aerator tool comes with a convenient storage tray designed to collect soil plugs during the aeration process. By keeping the soil cores in the tray, it eliminates the need for cleanup on your lawn, saving both time and effort while enhancing the efficiency of the aeration process. Additionally, the tray is constructed from a single piece of metal that is bent and welded, ensuring durability and strength for long-lasting performance.
  • Unique Square Crossbar Design: Different from the common aerators, this aerator gardening tool features a square crossbar with a flat surface, while increasing contact area to reduce slipping, even with muddy or wet soles. The foot space is expanded to 6 inches high, making it suitable for larger shoes, and it’s welded into a single piece for added strength while the curved design of the foot space ensures easier and more comfortable stepping on the crossbar during use.
  • Sturdy and Durable Structure: The lawn coring aerator is expertly crafted from high-quality painted metal, ensuring long-lasting durability and reliable performance while being rust-resistant for extra longevity. In addition, the tray which made from a single sheet of metal positioned 3.2 inches above the foot space, preventing accidental bending from stepping on the edges. This design enhances the overall strength and stability, making it ideal for frequent lawn care tasks.
  • A Solution for Compact Lawn Soil: Walensee manual grass aerator is designed to loosen compacted soil and reduce soil density, allowing water, oxygen, and essential nutrients to penetrate deeper into plant roots, promoting healthier, stronger growth. It also includes a cleaning tool which can easily remove any soil from the tines. Tips: please water well before using to keep the ground moist. This coring tool does the job but it's very difficult to unclog it. It comes with a tool to take the dirt out of the tubes but it didn't really take out the dirt. It was easy to put together and it came with tools but I had to use my wrench to actually tighten the bolts-and even then, it wasn't sturdy in my opinion. It's fine-just not the best.

Works fine, material is well made. It comes in three pieces and it takes a good bit of hand strength to tighten the bolts down, but they stay put. The end of the bolts stick out quite a bit, so keep that side pointed away from the leg you use to push down with so you don't get scratched up.

I live in a garden apartment and ordered this item to hopefully aerate the soil around trees planted in half whiskey barrels, but this tool is much too large for that purpose so I couldn't use it. Still, it is a sturdy aerator that seems to be well made, so I imagine it should work well for a proper lawn. A good value for the price.

I had been using a dinner fork to poke holes in the lawn. It took me 3 years once to aerate the entire thing. This was a game changer.I rented a gas machine last year for the whole lawn. I usually try to do it every 2-3 years but I wanted something to be able to get trouble areas in the yard the years that I don’t use a machine. It’s pretty solid actually for spot aeration. I wouldn’t recommend doing a whole yard unless you have the time and stamina. Buy an entry level electric or rent one if you need to do large areas. It collects the cores which is nice and it has a tool to clear it when you’re finished. It has a large T-shaped handle which has decent grips and gives you plenty leverage. I did a small area with no clogs and just poked out the last cores with the tool. It was shipped with rubber tips on the tines which I kept to put on when it’s stored for the winter.

This lawn aerator works far better than I thought it would. I have never used a manual aerator before and didn't know what to expect. I have a pretty small yard, so it doesn't seem worth it to rent a gas powered aerator. The assembly took just a couple of minutes. It comes with the tools you need to put it together. The aerator is fully metal and seems pretty strong. After assembly I took it to the yard to give it a try. The ground was fairly soft already, so it pushed in quite easily. It did poke holes in the ground, however, it rarely actually pulled up a plug. The leading edge of the spike seems like it may be a bit on the small side, so maybe that's why. I'm not sure if it matters whether it pulls the plug out or not, since it does still leave a hole in the ground, but I thought it's worth mentioning. The only thing I don't like is that the metal pole has a bit of movement to it after assembly. This is just due to the collapsed design, so I'm not sure it's easily fixable. It doesn't change the function of the aerator at all, so I didn't remove any stars.

Be forewarned. If you are small framed or light weight, this will be more difficult to use. it’s just a matter of physics. In some places the ground is harder than others, yes, even after it RAINS.The tray to catch all of the plugs is an extremely nice feature, as is the hand tool included to clear stuck plugs. AAA Forethought, Thank You!That said. It works really well. there’s no way to have engineered this to work better unless you invite someone heavy or large framed. It’s made to last of quality materials. pay attention to which is your dominant foot.. Are you fakey footed? Which foot would you put out front if intentionally sliding in a slick floor in your sock feet? If you know that, then put the heads of the bolts on your dominant side of the handle when putting it together, so that the sharper, “ nut end” is on the non dominant foot side of the shaft and you’ll be less likely to co e I to contact with it when you stomp this thing into the ground. It’s going to take some time to aerate a large area with this, but baby steps, people.. Confucius say: Even journey of 1000 miles begins with a single step. Allen key and wrench also included. Win Win Win.Valuable Garden and Landscaping tool! highly Recommended!!

The Walensee Lawn Aerator Coring Tool (38.2”) is a straightforward and effective gardening tool that’s easy to get started with. Assembly is a breeze—requiring just two screws to connect the handle parts, it comes with clear instructions and takes less than two minutes to put together. The build feels sturdy and solid, though the paint coating might be prone to chipping over time. Durability aside, it’s a promising design for lawn care.In use, it does exactly what it’s meant to: aerates compacted soil with its three tines and collects cores in the handy storage tray. That said, I ran into some challenges depending on soil conditions. On overly moist, loamy ground when the dirt tends to clog the aerator holes, sometimes pulling up entire chunks of sod. Conversely, when the ground dries out, it becomes rock-hard and tough to penetrate. Timing is key—you need that sweet spot where the soil isn’t too wet or too dry. The spikes, which feel a bit long, might contribute to the sticking issue in wet conditions; sandier soil seems to work much better with this tool.Despite these quirks, it gets the job done. Aerating a larger area takes time and effort, but the payoff is worth it—no need to rely on a professional service, saving both money and scheduling hassles. The included cleaning tool is a nice touch for maintenance. Overall, it’s a solid choice for DIY lawn care, especially if you’re patient and strategic about when you use it. I’d give it a thumbs-up for functionality and value!

This tool is amazing for my lawn. It is very easy to use, but get ready for a workout! I have very hard clay soil, and this tool easily penetrates the ground. At times, I have experienced some of the holes will become compacted with soil, but it comes with a tool to clear it when it becomes clogged. The handle is very comfortable on my hands, and it is very sturdy.
