If you’re on the fence like I was because you can’t see a preview of the inside, I say got for it! I found this book inspiring, I love the author’s illustrations. It has been a long time since I’ve used crayons and this was a nice overview, I especially loved her use of layering colors, adding textures and patterns, I know I will use some ideas from this book and will revisit it again and again. Very happy to have his book on my shelf!

Great little book. The author covered various techniques and media combinations and did some interesting demos as well. A fresh approach to drawing and crayons.

Simple drawing exercises get you going fast with crayons. (See photos)Great for anyone looking to learn about this medium in an approachable way. Especially strong on layering colors and trying new color palettes.Monika Forsberg's delightfully whimsical style inspired me to jump in and get drawing and painting again after a long break. I had a tin of artist's crayons in my studio but never quite figured out what to do with them. This book helped me to confidently add crayons to my mixed media toolbox.Highly recommended!

This is one of the best art books I've purchased in years! The ideas are innovative and interesting. I also like thetips to use your crayon drawings to make collage art, whichis my favorite technique of all time, as I've had no patienceto actually paint! :) Last year I was fortunate to find a full setof 72 vintage 1970s Crayola Crayons at an estate sale, andit is amazing how much nicer these vintage crayons are ascompared to newer ones. They've become my "go to colors"for my various art projects.Overall, I was very impressed with this book. I only wish it waslonger, but it's still wonderful as it is!

When I first saw this book, I thought it was an actual coloring in book.I was very wrong, but I was not disappointed,Crayon, is full of expert tips and hints, of how to work with crayon. The drawing step by step, for birds, flowers and other things is simply beautiful. The author is very creative and she shares her love of colour and art in the most beautiful and artistic ways. Each page is filled with, sometimes quirky, but always fun, things to draw, paint and colour.Techniques, tools and materials are covered and I really do think this is an amazing and original art book.
