The grinder works well , but is a bit too light in weight , my previous grinder ( same make Waring MG 105 ) was heavier and therefore more stable. Overall I enjoy my meat grinder .

we have used this meat grinder several times since our purchase and are extremely Pleased with quality, craftsmanship, speed, etc. well worth the money spent, Great addition to our kitchen. Hunters...this is an amazing way to create deer burger and deer sausage would def. recommend this product. Even after running close to 80 lbs of meat this little grinder performed top notch.

We bought this meat grinder back in late May. We had an older model and had used that for over 10 years before it died. Loved it at first because it worked well. Then in just 2 months, it started making noises and stopped working. This was very disappointing seeing we were sticking with the same brand and model because it worked well before. Would not buy one with that mentality again.

It's a good meat grinder for the lower priced range of grainders. The stem (grinding part) is a little tricky to get it into position, and for that reason I gave it only 3 stars. Fuss with it a lot and it finally does go into place --- I haven't yet learned "the trick" after four batches. It does a good, quick job of grinding meat. Remember to put the blade part in with the sharp side facing you; otherwise you ruin the unit or so the instructions state. If you semi-freeze (45 minutes, use a timer) small chunks or long strips of meat, they feed faster and the grinding speeds up a little. It doesn't really take that long. If you do not semi-freeze you may produce an undesirable mushy slime in the grind. The process is basically semi-freeze, grind on medium holes, add spice, semi-freeze again, grind on smaller holes. I like to let it set at room temp for 20 minutes after the 2nd grind to develop the spice flavors. The hole disks do discolor with use; perhaps they are made of more zinc than steel. The discoloration is a ugly and worrisome because the discoloration stays. The hardest part of making sausage is the cleanup and disinfection of all parts. You'll need 4 items to clean the parts --- Hot Water, Dawn Dishsoap, and a Disinfection Solution (1 tablespoon bleach in 1 gal water), and lot of Elbow Grease. When you taste your cooked sausage, ooh-yummy, it's all worthwhile !

I wouldnt actually call it a professional grinder. It worked well the first time I used it, However, the second time it kept clogging up to the point where I quit and got out my food processor. The recipe said to use the fine grind attachment; it clogged up even the large one. I'll try one more time; and, if it keeps doing what it done the second--it will go on the shelf as an almost ran. Purchase with caution.

The product came mostly assembled. After use, it was easy to disassemble and wash up and reassemble when dry. I've only used it once, to make ground turkey. It is fairly slow, but it worked well and didn't clog. The turkey was ground fine enough that it didn't require a second grinding, which I thought it might. A good product for the price.

A friend had one of these. We were fortunate enough to be able to try it out before we bought it. It was great! We have used ours. I love being able to make ground meat and sausages with wholesome ingredients no additives, preservatives, etc. We have been using it most recently with venison. The recipes that we have tried that are in the manual are great. We also have tried others we like to. It is fun and easy, and easy to clean.

First foray into grinding my/our own meat since I was a kid in the 50s. Really happy with this. It's a quality first step/toe in the water appliance. Works just fine and we probably won't ever need anything else for our moderate use, two person household.
