Mine came with the wrapper open and the ankle portion of the sock torn. The size is also smaller than the size guide suggest. Additionally you can feel the seems all over your foot.

These neoprene socks were tight for my husband but fit me fine, ok, I have big feet but a size smaller than his. These are well made. Kept my tootsies from getting cut on lava rocks and from falling on my keister getting into the ocean at Hawaii. I exited the ocean intact and so did these socks. Win win!

Snorkeled in the Virgin Islands for about an hour. Loved them; they fit my narrow feet perfectly under my fins. Took them to Sint Maarten and after 30 minutes there was a hole in the toe not even on the seam. I can't find women's fin socks. I have order 3 pair of different brands on Amazon and they all are too big across the foot and around the ankles. Probably because all fin socks seem to be men's sizes and we women just have to try to figure out where we fit into that equation. I decided to order these Water Gear socks again hoping for a better outcome, but I don't see the yellow ones size Small offered. Anyone know of a brand for a woman size 7 shoe size that is narrow?

I read you should have fin socks for snorkeling, so bought for Hawaii trip. Guide on snorkel tour said he never uses fin socks. So we tried our rented fins without these socks. Snorkeled lots. No fin socks. No blisters or even sore spots. I can remember as a kid -- 50 years ago -- getting blisters from swim fins. I think the fins are made with much better (softer and more flexible) material now than back in the 1950's!! Maybe would have used them then. Granddaughter did not use hers either and had no trouble with sore spots or blisters from her fins. Maybe for very athletic, long snorkeling they may be good, but for our leisurely hour long snorkels, did not need.

I like to wear swim-shoes ("crocs"/"dawgs" style) when on our annual family vacation, where we typically spend a week on a resort hotel in Mexico. Unfortunately I find within hours I start to blister in a few places. The more I walk, particularly if wet, the more the skin gets rubbed off, until by the end of the vacation, walking is an agony and my feet have been rubbed raw, no matter how many Band-Aids I keep applying. This time, I bought these swim-socks. What an absolute pleasure! There was not even a hint of discomfort, not even the slightest beginning of any blistering. Also, very little sea-sand got inside the socks, so I could quickly rinse off and go from sea to pool with no hassle.I got two pairs, so one could dry while wearing the other, although I found they were almost entirely dry after only one night.I would recommend these without doubt.

I purchased these to create a comfortable, snug fit with my swim fins that were just a tad too big. These socks did the trick and created that comfortable, snug fit I was looking for. It also serves as a good protective barrier between the chafing that can occur with prolonged use of swim fins at the back of your foot. No worries for me during my swims. Because of these socks, I can swim comfortably and confidently because of its high quality and perfect fit. The sizing was right on. I highly recommend this product!

Having read a lot of the other reviews here I think it is important to note exactly what these are and what they are supposed to do. They are neoprene fin socks, you wear them to prevent rubbing from hard fins when swimming diving. They are not tabis / reef shoes / dive shoes / pool shoes. I will be happy if these last 6-12 months of use every other day. If you wear these as shoes they will fall apart. This simply isn't what they are for and it is unfair to rate them badly, just as it would be unfair to rate a motorbike badly if it wore out when you used it to tow an RV.So far they have performed excellently, no blisters etc. There are no signs of damage after a few weeks of near constant use. Build quality seems good, no loose stitching etc. The fit is perfect, size 12 feet, I got size 11-13 X large. Much cheaper than our local dive shop! These do not have rubber grip soles (another key to them not being anything more than fin socks), so they won't make it more difficult to put on fins like some other ones do, but they also offer no real protection or grip is you insist on using them as shoes. The coloured stitching also makes it easy to tell whose is whose really easily, a nice touch!

I bought these to wear as socks under water shoes and to wear with open-heel snorkeling fins. These worked out very well - they were comfortable in both situations, kept my feet warm while swimming in cold water in a cave, and allowed me to walk along rocks in just the socks without cutting up my feet. If these came up a little higher on my ankle, they would have gotten a 5. As is, they're a bit low-cut. I'm a women's size 9-10 shoe, got these in a small, and it was a perfect fit.
