These hyacinths took forever to arrive and when I opened the package, they were dried out, dead, and decomposing. This is a very poor quality product and shipping method. I think I should just get a refund instead of going through the trouble of printing out a shipping label and returning the product. Good luck with this decomposing abomination of nature.

Two of them look dead but put them in pond hoping they come back to life.

I ordered two sets of these and they arrived alive, if slightly brown. We wanted to keep an eye on them so we set up an aquarium for them. Nurtured them. From previous experience with these plants I know they’re like a weed in the water. That’s why I wanted them. My koi outside love having a nice thick covering to hide under when it’s sunny. Maybe we should’ve treated them like weeds - cussed at, ignored - instead of giving them temperature controlled water and lights but we were desperate for these to live since it’s the first year we couldn’t find them locally. All of the plants started out a tad brown. All of them continued to brown and most are just a mess of brown leaves and brown roots. Maybe this type of plant just doesn’t ship well?

I was very pleasantly surprised when my order came, and I saw the size of the water hyacinths. In the past when I ordered from other sellers, they are never as big or healthy as these. I’ll definitely order from here from now on. Thank you!!

I know these plants are extremely invasive in the subtropics. This means they are prolific and cheap weed plants. It should be easy to keep them green right? They will die in the winter and my pond will be more mature next year. I will stick to native plants. In the mean time I was excited to get some life in the pond for the summer. These came in a box on a Friday night and I didn't have time to spend two hours cleaning duckweed from the roots of all the plants. Luckily I have a well because the cloramine from municipal water supply would have killed even this plague of a weed plant.can I say disappointed more loudly????

These arrived looking 1/2 dead and almost 3 weeks later after being in my pond still look sad. They have not improved at all. I am not happy with this purchase and won't order them again online. I should have gone to the nursery.

These hyacinths are lovely! Our 3 koi like to forage around the roots for their food when it floats underneath the plants, and they are already blooming after about 3 weeks in our pond (located in western NC, bought plants in early June, it is now late June). Don’t be alarmed if a few of the leaves die, as they will likely be replaced with new leaves as long as the pond is a healthy environment for them. We keep our pond treated for the health of the fish, and both plants and fish do absolutely wonderfully together. All 3 plants had one or two larger leaves die to be replaced with 5-6 smaller ones. Plant growth is a constant cycle of death and new growth, and we have had zero issues with them. Definitely will be buying again!

I received my water hyacinths this afternoon. They are in excellent condition. The leaves looked good although one or two leaves were just a little bit battered, but it's what I would expect for a water plant that's traveled a few days in a box. They were kept damp and so the roots and leaves were healthy. I removed them from their box right away and plopped them into my pond. I could almost hear their sigh of relief at being in water again. They seem fine and I'm looking forward to their blooms.
