Used in a shower application, product “pilled-up” or did not remain smooth -which is important - didn't say which side should be to wall, ended up returning

So placed about 2 TBL Spoons of water on this Band, waited 10 min the other side was moist. Not water resistance . Falls apart when Mud is applied .

Better alternative to sealing gaps in backerboard before tiling. The brand available at the big box hardware and tile stores was much more expensive. Applied easily with thinset. Woyld recommend.

Good water proofing! A lot cheeper than buying at a box store or a tile store!

I read other reviews and took the risk to buy this product. It failed my water test miserably. I folded into a funnel shape and added some water and place it on top of a cup. Water soaked right through it after 10 minutes. DON'T buy to avoid costly water damage to your home.

I'm not experienced with this type of thing. I decided to remodel my smaller bathroom that has been in a rather sad state for some time. While researching this type of product was suggested for underneath sources of water to prevent soaking issues.Because my shower remodel isn't planned until early next year I took a piece off and ran it under the faucet to determine how waterproof it is. It works fair.Within ten seconds the water had slightly soaked into the product, but ONLY under direct pressure. It did not soak through the product at all. The underside was still completeky dry. Any water that was not under direct pressure rolled right off leaving nothing behind.Since this will be used for corners and under the soap holder, etc., it should not be subjected to any direct water pressure and therefore should do what it is intended to do. I believe this is not intended to take direct water pressure either, so I believe it deserves a decent rating. If it works for the initial shower I will be ordering more for the 2nd shower as well.
