The tap is good, but the helicoils don’t fit. I tried for two hours to get just one in. I finally gave up and just bought a bolt to fit the threads the Tap produced. The tap read it was M14x1.5 pitch but was actually aM16x1.5. I wanted a steel helicoil in the aluminum oil pan so the next drain plug wouldn’t strip out the pan again. I have been doing this for 40+ years and have never had this problem before.
