The first one of these failed, the internals are plastic, or at least the cap holding all the insides in place is. Guess what happened to that? A nice steady drip after getting it all installed. Got another one and it acts funny. Temperature drops 5 minutes into a shower, almost like something is bound up on the inside. Now it just seems stuck, won't heat up at all. This one has lasted a little over a year, 150 degree tank input gets turned into maybe 104 degree water on FULL HOT when it used to get to 120. Going with another brand.

See photo for what I received. No union, filters or gasket. Buy somewhere else. Would be easy to install if all the parts were in the box.

Used this to mix hot & cold water in my house to feed a single water line going out to the horse barn. Works great, horses have warm water during the winter.

Does what it's supposed to do. Easy to install and adjust temperature. Seller responded immediately to email.

You can control the output temp, and you will get there... EVENTUALLY! Following all installation guidelines, providing input hot water at 130 degrees or 140 degrees, and adjusting for an output temp of 105 degrees, it took 5 plus minutes to reach the temp from a cold, idle valve. That's just flat nuts. Had the same model valve I installed in a very similar manner in a previous home a few years back and saw a warmup time of 30 seconds or less. Obviously made diffrrently now, or in a different factory (China?). Tried contacting the manufacturer's Customer Service... zero help. Buy if you want to waste a lot of water waiting, else don't.

It seems to work as a thermostat despite what others have written. When I increase or decrease the temperature setting of the water heater, the output from this device remains the same temp, which is great! It means you can turn down your tank temp to save energy (as long as it's hot enough for your appliances) or turn it up if you need more hot water

Installed in my electrical storage heating system along with a 115 Gal Westinghouse water heater. I can now keep 140 Deg water in the tank and dispense at anywhere from 80 deg to 120Deg F. Now full hot tap water is not dangerously hot and we never run out of hot water. Install was easy with the addition of 3 male NPT sweat on fittings.
