How to Install the SSD?
Step 1: Pull up the top cover to open the enclosure and insert the silicone buckle.
Step 2: Attach the thermal silicone pad to the SSD, then place the aluminum strip over it.
Step 3: Insert the SSD and adjust the silicone buckle to secure it.
Step 4: Finally, reattach the aluminum case to the enclosure.

I am very satisfied with the quality of this SSD enclosure. I feel confidant my storage device is protected inside of it. I think the size is convienant making it easy to store or take along easily fitting in my pocket. I was glad to learn that this enclosure has a wide variety of compatible SSD's. I would recommend this enclosure because it seems to be made from quality materials and I believe it will keep my SSD protected from damage.

I bought this with a separate product to connect a PCIe card to it and it worked! The only thing I don't like about it is there is not a proper screw hole. Instead there is a rubber gasket thing which is frustrating to insert and does NOT keep the drive in place. I ended up having to use some tape to keep it together!

My limited experience with this enclosure has been quite pleasant.I installed the "SAMSUNG 990 EVO Plus SSD 4TB" in this enclosure.I recently tested my Mac Studio M1 using the Black Magic Speed Test and was blown away! I achieved an impressive score of over 3000 MB/s for both read and write speeds. That’s faster than most people need for their everyday tasks. It’s like having a super-fast computer!

Works like a USB drive but the ssd makes it faster. Hardware in the computer also makes a difference. No problems si far.

As noted by other users, the case tends to get warm during long or sustained transfers. Though the case is warm to the touch, it is still operational with no detected loss of speed transfer or lost data. Data speed transfer rate is around 3000-3500, well with standard for this drive.So far no issues.

I bought this for my new M4 Pro Mac Mini as Apple charges a lot for increased storage. I wanted to take advantage of the Mini's Thunderbolt 4/5 ports and this allows a fast SSD to really shine. I was not able to match the crazy fast internal SSD (>4000 MB/s); but got pretty close with this enclosure and a Samsung 990 Pro SSD (>3600 MB/s). So far works perfect and blazingly fast!

These are great! I can't verify speeds directly by anything but plugging it in and getting 740MBs transfer from my computer...so no trouble transferring a terabyte in a few minutes. Used a different usb4 cable and whatever UsbC port is on my desktop computer. Installation is a breeze and this one seems to be a lot cooler than a similar (same visually except a couple of cooling slots) from a different brand name. Probably it's related to being 2 different 2TB drives. The P41 is much cooler in use and maybe those cooling slots help too.

It works fine on my Mac mini M4 though the fan noise is noticeable and on constantly. I would buy a fan less enclosure if I get one.
