My fiance and I have been enjoying tracking our games with this well-designed book. It stays open and has an easy-to-understand layout. Now she has a written record of every time she wins, which is literally EVERY TIME.

First, this item had been in my cart for ages, i was just hesitant of its price. throwing caution in the wind i order it anyway. when it arrived it was heavier than i initially thought it would be, but that only made me confident. i ordered this for myself because i wanted to get more accustomed to using chess notation. I taught my nephew how to play, so i figured it'd be beneficial if he learned the notation too. after looking at the pages and how organized they were (for my standard), i gave it to him. shortly after doing so, i ordered one in black for myself. I will personally make sure that we're both filling up this book! i will be back to buy this as gifts!

1. Pages are good, wont tear out unless you make the effort. 2. The book was wrapped in clear plastic and sealed. 3. Professional printing on the hard cover. 4. When I write in the moves, I enjoy the space given. 5. My games are usually less than 60 moves, so I don't need the space of 90 moves. So I am happy with my green 100 GAME SCOREBOOK.

The product came neatly shrink wrapped. My product arrived with a slight ding, but it isn't anything I am upset about. The pages are fine, the cover just took a bump. The binding is high quality and gives that satisfying "creak" when opening the book for the first time. You can break it in quickly so it will lay flat. The cover is thick and has some heft to it. The cover is nicely done, and the gold image and lettering is slightly embedded into the cover making me expect that it will look good for a long time. The paper is good quality and very white. Each game spans two pages of the book. There is space to record 60 moves. Since an average chess game will end at around 40 moves, this is plenty of space to record most games to completion. Some reviewers have said that 60 moves is not enough space, but really, if players are upper beginner to intermediate, the games will end before 60 moves. They should only go longer if someone in a losing position simply refuses to resign and allows their king to be chased all around the board, or if the winning player does not know how to checkmate their opponent. Check online for "how many moves do chess games last" and you will see the 40 move figure quoted widely by reputable sources. The game pages are not labeled by default, there is a space for you to write that in yourself. Therefore I could only say how many pages are actually in the book if I counted the pages one by one myself. I will trust that there are 100 pages, double sided, so there should be space for 200 games.I plan to use this book to record games with my family members to keep as a memento and something that we can look back on and see if we have improved. I think the quality of this book is good enough that we can keep it for years. If we fill this up I may buy more.I would highly recommend this scorebook.

These are very nice scorebooks. The paper is fairly heavy (about 24-pound, I think) and very white. It may be acid-free, but I cannot tell for sure. The binding is very strong as it is both sewn and glued. After spending a minute or so breaking in the spine, the pages lay nice and flat when open. It is annoying when books keep closing while you are trying to enter notation during a game. The printing on the tables and the board diagram are crisp and clean. Top it all off with the nice and soft green cover and you have a sturdy little book for recording your brilliancies (or in my case, comedy of errors). I highly recommend this scorebook.

My son needed sheets for his chess club. Instead of having to lug around a sheet each class, this was an organized way to track his progress. It's also a hardback and the gold makes it look even better. He loved it so much he asked for the blue one too. It was shipped extremely quickly and I love the quality.
