I bought these because my pony saddle had long ago lost the tapaderos that made it safe. Since I'm often throwing kids up on my horse, I needed to know their feet will NOT get caught in the stirrups. These are even better than the old tapaderos because they fasten under the toe as well. They are tough and well made and I'm relieved to have this safety feature on my saddle.
