Let’s get a few things straightI’ve only had this for about two weeks, Ive laid down about 100lbs of dual shield wire with this on my helmet (fits great on a classic miller helmet with the clear light lens).It was easy to install and hold on great with just the friction from the rubber. I’ve welded all day with it on, in all positions and my neck was well protected.Yes the leather is on the thinner side but it’s very supple and comfortable if it rubs against your neck.Yes the stitching is a bit wonky but for crying out loud, I paid $40 CAD and it works like a charm.If the stitching gives out well be a man and sew it back up and don’t complain.

This works so well!!! It’s nice to not worry about the light burning my skin or when performing overhead welding no sparks go down the front of my shirt under the top button of my jacket

First off this spark protector is very well-made of real leather and has an excellent sealing mechanism. That’s a combination of metal spring grips inside a silicone rubber track. Today there’s a little reason to ignore the risks of skin cancer, and every reason to protect against it. Do you have a choice with this to either put it on the top of your hood to protect your head and give you better protection from backlight or to mount it on the lower edge of your hood to protect your neck. I like this versatility and at this reasonable cost you can afford to get two for ultimate protection. I highly recommend.

It is a great size and snug fit on my lincoln hood but after about a month the leather started to separate from the band that attaches it to the hood so now there is a large hole right under my chin

Does not require holes in your lid! Very awkward when the hood is flipped up if working properly m a shop but for field use it’s is awesome
