I had problems with glare for over head lights. Not only does this make me look like the predator, but I can also see the puddle now because there is no glare.

Clips on with edging, my old weld helmet I just glued on a piece of old cloth.Welding in my shop with bright shop lights, if I am positioned in the wrong angle, the light passed from behind me past my ears and triggers the auto darkening.... Why it is like that I don't know, but there it is.I have also had a welding spark bounce up and land on my head.So this hood flap corrects both of those issues for me.Nice thing is you can just remove it and use it on a new or other helmet.Thick cloth, looks like it will last many years.

I found this a little difficult to install, it's just so hard to push it over the edge. I figured out that a little WD-40 really made it a lot easier to get on. While it was difficult to install, I think that it's better that it's tightly on my helmet, because then it won't be falling off while I'm welding. This is really helpful as I am folliclely challenged, and I really don't need to expose the top of my hairless head to the welding arc. I didn't even know there were things like this and I have been trying to cover my heat with rags, and towels, and whatever I could find. This is so much of a better solution. Even if you have hair, it's still better to have extra protection from the welding arc. I've been "sunburned" more times than I care to admit because I got tied up in a welding project, and the problem is, you can't feel that it's happening... until it's too late.I'm very happy with the way this installed (after I figured out the WD-40) and how secure it is on the helmet and especially with the protection.
