Westbrass was founded in 1935 by two brothers, to serve the needs of all plumbing wholesalers on the West Coast. The product lines at the time included items such as faucets, valves, malleable fittings, etc. After becoming the premier distributor of plumbing products, the company was bought in 1985 by Max Homami. Seeing a boom in the Home Improvement Industry, Mr. Homami had a vision to make Westbrass the leader in Kitchen & Bath Accessories.
The company currently manufactures its own products made of the highest quality materials. In order to ensure the excellence in the industry, these products are made to pass the highly stringent requirements of NSF, IAPMO, ADA and many other regulations. When first received I knew it wasn't the high end, nor did I expect that. After a week it started humming as we bathed, kind of a nice serenade, but then it got angry. I pulled it figuring maybe it's not sealing well because of build up, hasn't been long but maybe ... Nope, got worse and then figured out if I wiggle it it shuts up to a low key hum again ... After a month or so, the black finish is now peeling off, kinda looks like it winking at me, I really want to replace it but I haven't had this much attention naked since I was 25 so I'm just going to keep it, I shall name her Harmony

Worked very well! Had everything I needed. Be careful with packaging though. Cut myself pretty bad on one the parts when wasn't expecting it to be so sharp on edge

Cheaper alternative than what I had been seeing. Parts were easy to assemble. I will say the overflow gasket was weird but probably user error.

The item was not the right color of brass. Also, I did not realize that I was ordering the PVC piping along with the drain and overflow plate.

Kit looks to be ok as for quality,but useless due to overflow pipe to short for my bathtub.

I’m a contractor and don’t know why I was so married to the schedule 40 tub drains for so long—I think they just made me “feel” better. You don’t have to worry about crazy accurate cutting, annoying gluing, and the inevitable cursing when you are off by the slightest bit and have to struggle for 20 minutes to make it work. Remember code requires these be accessible in some way with a panel, door etc. otherwise you should use a glue up drain assembly.

After messing up the first kit by not lining it up correctly, I bought this adjustable one. I would recommend especially if you are replacing a tub and don’t have the luxury of working with stud walls only. With the drywall on it’s hard to work in a small area and line it up properly. This adjustable one worked well.

This was exactly what I needed, I couldn't find the right finish in polyethylene locally. Also...I was shocked at the price these were in big box stores. This finish of bronze is pretty dark but that is what I was going for. I used a Kohler trim kit for the rest of the tub and you'd never know they were different manufacturers. Good product, no issues. Oh and...push button drain FTW (yeah...please no weird metal rods down the drain to catch 30 years of hair and junk...)
