This is very simple replacement, my old spout was rusted and corroded and needed a new look. A bit of muscle and old one screwed off and new one went right on. (Make sure to tape fitting before replacement.) simple basic and does a great job for what needed it to do.

I needed a spout without the shower diverter for my tub as the original one had corroded pretty badly. The local home improvement stores didn't have much selection of this type - as in one. When I went to install there was the usual trip for fittings because, unless you are as plumbing distributor or have a pipe threader, you will not have on hand. After that the only dimension that mattered was the 4.25 inch stub length of 3/4" pipe. You may want to use a couple nipples and a coupler to get there, but then things went smoothly and it looks great. I'd recommend this spout if you have old galvanized fittings coming out of the wall and a three handle faucet with a built in diverter.

This spout has the wrong pipe fitting. It is cut for a 3/4 pipe and not a 1/2 pipe. I ordered a second one and it had a 3/4 pipe fitting also. I ordered a third one this time with the diverter in the front and the pipe size was correct. I contacted the manufacturer (Westbrass) by email twice to inform them of this but they never responded back. I also notified Amazon the first and second time. I don't know if Amazon will try and correct this concern. The reason I was so persistent is it is hard to find a metal spout like this without using a slip joint. Otherwise, I would have been at Home Depot first.

I purchased this item (2-one spare since hard to find) and am very pleased w/ its heft (real metal) of chrome/brass threads) and construction. It fit perfectly for a spout front mount which means the threads are at the end where the water flows out. Most of the new faucet's tub spouts thread at the back.of the spout. I purchased them at the big orange store for two eighty three each and free shipping since I made a forty -five dollar purchase. I will note it took a few tries to get it threaded, likely since it was my first time performing this task.
