always inspect actuator if replacing cv axle.I fought dangerous steering for three years and thousands in repairs with 3+ mechanics not making me any safer before I discovered the relatively simple concept that if the cv axle has to be replaced it is imperative to inspect actuator bearings as well.bad bearing symptoms : hitting a bump and squirting over a half a lane but not always, when riding over uneven road steering is squirrely and unreliable.I paid more than i did for the truck to have the entire front end replaced struts and all even the rack and pinion w upper and lower arms and new ball joints the works and i still never found anyone that either cared enough or knew enough to check a 100$ part and get me safe for the road until a friend and i took a saturday and got to the bottom of it and got the part ordered and put on by Monday.

The product would not shift to engage front wheels. Since it was beyond the 30 day warranty period, it was removed and disassembled. The actuator shift collar was installed upside down. The information listed for this product states that it is fully tested. I disagree. Had it been tested it would have worked out of the box. If you purchase this product, I hope you have better luck than I did. The trouble shooting and repair took about 4hrs.
