My 14yo Kitchenaid side by side started freezing everything and wouldn't shut off. After watching a few videos, cleaning the condenser coils, and monitoring the temps in both sides, I determined that the temp control switch was bad. This one wasn't exactly the same but fit perfectly and has worked great since installing it. The price was the best I found and the item came quickly.

Fridge was not holding temp; based on online trouble shooting this looked like the issue (but I also got a compressor run capacitor and a defrost thermostat just in case…) Determined this was the right part for my fridge (important step!) Way cheaper than the parts houses. A little fussy to install but not hard. Good videos online if you look. Temp is rock solid now. Saved a 10 year old fridge - another 10 years?
