I lost front axle nut for my Shwinn Mesa and looked for a replacement. I had no idea there were that many thread types for bicycles and wondered if I'd have to buy a new wheel . I took a chance and ordered these. They fit

My son has a REV 20 bike made by REI. I noticed the front axel nut had disappeared, so I headed to the hardware store, but I couldn't find a flare nut that would thread correctly. A quick search on Amazon led me to this and it works perfectly.

Somebody robbed my rear nuts trying to remove my back wheel, but realized they couldn't get past the lock, but they still took my nuts, so I got these and they fit perfectly. They have a nice raise on one end to keep from slipping on your frame. Great vintage bike replacement.

These seem to hold up better than the decorative Acorn nuts. I have had one or two of the Acorn types strip the threads. Not on the axle itself, but the threads in the Acorn nut itself.

They were nice, but NOT what I needed. I researched for 26" Schwinn Meridian adult 3-wheel bike axle nuts, and was guided to these (which are for 2 wheel bikes). . . it would cost more to return them (both $ and hassle) so I opted to eat the loss, and be more careful next time.
