I gave this two stars because it was straight, and the correct length. BUT, what it was not was 10m x 1 diameter and thread pitch. I returned it.

Mine was perfectly straight and 10mm with 1.0mm thread pitch. I used it on a Shimano 525 hub that I needed to switch from 135 to 142mm frame spacing and it was just long enough.

Didn't feel like spending four times the amount on a Wheels MFG chromoly axle to convert my XT hub to a bolt on hub for a single speed/fixed setup. Worked perfectly and didn't need anything else. Just swapped axles and was back on the trail minutes later.

will not use, the axle does not roll true on a surface plate, did not return, some day i will get around to straightening it when I need it. it is black phosphate finish, the threads are cut well. not put out over this, I have high dollar chromium steel Wheels Manufacturing axles that have a little wobble, this axle is slightly worse but 25% of the price. If you get a straight one you will like it.

It's strong , but the one I got had a bit of a bend in it , so I have to run my wheel bearings slightly loose to make up fo the out of straightness of the axle , if it was straight I'd give it five stars .
