One of my Ameritool 20 pound gas springs failed after 13 years. Hoping this will last as long. :) This was a perfect fit for my icebox. Holds the lid up perfectly.

Bought this to replace the one on my boat, bought in December 2020. It failed in the spring boating season of 2022. maybe 13 or 14 months old. Don't waste your money on it. Only works when it's super hot outside, if temps fall below 75 degrees, it fails to support the advertised weights.
