As I replace plastic containers with glass, I'm finding that mason jars can be very handy. I especially love the wide mouths on these and have been using them to store soup in the refrigerator. I purchased smaller ones also and keep nuts and seeds and other salad toppers in them. The bonus is that they look very neat in the kitchen and can be kept out therefore - easy access.

I am so glad to receive these quart jars. They are just what I need to use in the freezer as well as in the refrigerator. Also, I appreciated the kind note from Mr. Stringer.One thing I would like to suggest to Amazon. You need use more protection packing around the box of Ball Mason quart jars. One jar was broken. This afternoon, I also received a box of the Ball Mason pint jars. They were well packed.

These are genuinely great jars but they’re not well protected for shipping. There are small shards and splinters of glass throughout the package and it’s difficult to remove the plastic without getting splinters and the large and tiny pieces fall everywhere. Just be careful if you receive the package with any broken ones.
