The wii to HDMI converter is not an upscaler.
When using the wii to hdmi converter to connect the wii game console to the TV, please set the TV input to the corresponding HDMI port mode so that the TV can display the picture.
The MAXIMUM native resolution of Wii is analog out 480i or 480p depending on the cable you use, which means the converter will NOT magically turn your games into 720p or 1080p. We can finally use our WII with our new TV! The older TV used the 3 plug system, our WiFi wasn't compatible with HDMI, we tried several different options before we found this and it works! Now we can use our WII again!

I plugged it into the back of my Wii and it worked. I did not expect the sound to transmit across HDMI but it did. That was a nice surprise.

Simple, small, does it’s job well. But don’t think you are gonna get crisp graphics from a gaming system built in 2006, based on the GameCube, a console built in 2001. On my 4K TV I see a fair amount of rough edges and textures. No input lag from the Wii remotes thankfully

Got a new TV that no longer has inputs for 5-component cables, but I still wanted to have my (admittedly now ancient) Wii hooked up to it, in as simple a way as possible. This was exactly what I needed. It works. Like it says, it does not upscale the Wii display to your TV. I don't even know if that's technically possible to do, but I didn't need that function nor expect it. If you're that picky about graphics, you probably have a much newer gaming system.The price was very reasonable, I plugged it in, tested it, and it works just fine. Satisfied.
