First one came in, top is not evenly weighted so it stays up 2" on one side and 2" down on the other. Figured it was a random defect, returned and ordered replacement.Seconds one has the exact same poor design. Will not close. Worthless.

Consider the pivot point of this lid is in the middle, and the total lid length is around 20". So almost 10" of plastic has to rotate into the trash can when you put something in it. So once the can starts to get within 8" of the top the lid starts hitting the trash.Mine didn't work well but the seller took care of that.

The hinge works OK, but the lid doesn't fit that snugly to the can, which means it does not do a good job of "holding" the bag firm, allowing the bag to slip into the container when enough weight is in the bag. I am using 30-gal bags, which is more than the volume of the can this lid is designed for (23 gal). The price is a bit ridiculous for this simple piece of plastic.

it does swing properly and arrived dirty, scratched and in generally poor condition.
