Product Description

private preserve

Scott Farmer realized that some of the world’s great wines were being lost to oxidation and consumers were the one’s losing out. With the objective of assisting both consumers and restaurateurs to preserve opened bottles of wine, Scott invented PRIVATE PRESERVE.

As PRIVATE PRESERVE has continued to grow, Scott has continued his endeavors in assisting customers. With careful and meticulous research, he has found that in addition to wine, Private Preserve is well suited to the preservation of port, sherry, single malts, single batch bourbons, old Cognac, sake, ultra-fine tequila, and in the kitchen, fine cooking oils and vinegars.

For use in decanters, Scott recommends the same amount of spray time as for a 750ml bottle. However, please note that some decanter stops are made haphazardly as an afterthought. Scott’s recommendation is to purchase a well-made decanter from a reputable source

Instructions for Use

  • Put the tip of the extension tube inside the neck of the bottle against the glass
  • Spray one long (1 sec.) and 4 short bursts into 750ml bottle
  • Larger bottles require additional sprays—add one long spray for each larger size
  • Recork immediately & store upright
  • Use each time you pour & store

Good stuff for preserving you alcoholic spirits. If you have a refined tongue you can pick up oxidation depending on the headspace in your bottle. This stuff works good on wine but I also use it to maintain the taste of my higher end spirits that I partake on an intermittent basis. Good Stuff!

So I assumed this was a waste of money but I ended up being impressed. I have opened a bottled and left it for 5 days and came back to it tasting just like it did when I first opened it. I’ve been telling friends about it. I think i’m adding a little to much gas at the moment but having been cutting it back to get within recommendations

My wife and I were looking for a solution to the numerous wasted bottles of wine when we only wanted a glass and wanted to save the rest for another day. A few short sprays of this air right before you pop the cork back in help preserve the flavor of the wine for days. The bottles last a long time and not much is needed for each bottle. We've tried different preservation methods and, based on our experience, this provides the best value blend between cost and preservation.

We often have an open bottle of wine and have used this product for a very long time to protect the remaining wine for up to several days. I also started using it (a few years ago) to protect the remaining contents of liquor bottles. Based on reviewer comments, the reading I've done, and even some taste tests, exposure to oxygen does cause distilled spirits to degrade, albeit more slowly than it happens with wine.

I confess I haven't kept a bottle open for more than 5 days yet (*blush*) . . .

2本付属のノズルもうれしいですし、説明書もわかりやすい。実績があるので特に問題なし。ただ高価なのでで、それなりのワインが買えてしまうから。。。

I've been using this brand for years. The spray works well-- but not quite as well as the label claims! It reliably preserves red wine for 2 days. That's usually enough for me as I drink 2 glasses with dinner when I'm at home. Beyond day 3 I can definitely taste the wine is spoiling. Still, like I said, what it does is usually enough for me. This item used to be priced attractively on Amazon, at almost half off what I'd pay in local stores, but now that I'm ready to order again the price is actually higher than at two major wine retailers!
