the thing works but just barely. The parts of the clamp that hold on to the bike are shaped in a way that forces all of the weight and pressure from the trailer into a tiny area and the rubber coating has no chance of surviving. the bare metal clamp then just scratches into the bikes paint. I tried to aleviate this by grinding down the edges so that they weren't as sharp and then recoated it. but the results were the same since the issue is that the square offset clamp can't get a solid grip on the round bike frame.the mating surfaces need to be round to get the best contact and strongest hold that would prevent damage to the bike.as it's sold right now i cant recommend to anyone as it is a quaranteed way to destroy your bike's paint

cest le meilleur attelage de remorque pour vélo . Ne brise rien et tres solide. Je suis maintenant déçu cette attaché ne tiens pas en place .et as égratigné le vélo.

I cant reccomend this item! The plastic knob was useless. I had to remove it and use a bolt/nut to securely fasten to the 1 inch frame of the Phatmoto Rover bicycle. Now that issue made this SUPPOSED hitch a PERMANENT fixture to my bike!

This hitch is the perfect solution. It clamps to the bike frame instead if axle bolt. So you have mire choices of attachment points. The frame part I used was 1/2 inch diameter and the clamp stayed put with no movement. Even during a super fast emergency stop when a bear walked out about 15ft in front of me. The hitch and trailer stayed stable and straight. The safety strap is very sturdy. I want to try adjusting the hitch a bit to make the trailer more level. Should not be too hard.. it's bolted together not welded or riveted. Very happy with this piece of bike gear. Now Action Jackson will never be left behind.
