This dial thermometer is a made in China piece of junk. The picture looks great. But the paint cracks the first time it is used at 350 C. The temperature indicator is stuck at 200 C due to its striking the metal bud. You have to turn it upside down, and tap it to get the indicator past the 200 C bud. I used a dial thermometer made in the USA and Germany. There was NEVER any issue. But the Chinese unit is junk. Don't waste your money.
