I picked these up in my search for reasonably priced riding gear. I'm pretty happy with them for the most part. I don't know how well they would protect me in a crash and hopefully I'll never have to find out. They are HEAVY. Which probably isn't a bad thing. The material is thick and feels like it would provide a decent amount of abrasion resistance. My biggest gripe is that the lower legs are disproportionately baggy. They are so baggy from the knees down that I can't tuck them into my boots because of the amount of excess fabric. They are also pretty long on me. But, I'm pretty short do I'm used to that. Other than that - I actually like them. They feel like they would offer a decent measure of protection and I really like the style of them. If they hold up and don't fall apart from regular wear, I would probably buy them again.
