Could not fix the old faucet, it kept leaking. It is the original from when the house was built. As you can see from the image they did a lot of soldering to make it work. Looks really sketchy. The new one with a PX end already on it was easy to install, especially where I am not a plumber with a soldering gun.

I have replaced all of our outside taps with Woodford faucets they are trouble free and do not freeze in the winter, we have both the hot and cold taps and the singles taps and some are over 5 years old now with no issues. We live in northern Alberta where -40 is common on the farm, so they are well tested.

Couldn’t find a nice faucet with the 1/2” pex locally for this price, it’s an easy install and works effortlessly, no need to crank it closed.

Seems very well made. Really like all the advanced protection features built into this faucet. The 19 series faucets have an extra protection mechanism in them to protect them against freezing with a hose connected. While this likely won't happen, it is not an item I plan to replace often and modest price increase is worth the peace of mind.One thing that is a bit different than other faucets is that the backplate actually has full screw holes instead of little tabs. This makes installation much easier and more secure.The only downsides are:1. The color is a little old school...would prefer chrome/nickel. Obviously this normally won't be seen...but who picks bronze/brown?2. The wall plate is made of plastic. This surprised me a bit as every other faucet I have seen has a metal backplate.
