One side fits perfect, the other side isn't close. Total waste of time. It's a crap shoot whether you get good ones or useless ones.

Parts are almost 1/8" too short. Does not fit. Coating is poorly done. Was shipped in foam wrap but coating was trash. Screws are not steel and cheap hardware. After I placed the first one on the engine guard and saw the spacing was short and hardware was not magnetic I packed the junk up and returned it. Hate that because I was hoping for 200 bucks they would have been decent.

Was going to rate 3 stars but they arrived very quickly which was nice. The bars line up well but all the tabs were bent back slightly on the left bar and it had 12 bolts but only 4 nylock nuts. As other reviews have said, the bolts look inadequate and I had already planned to upgrade bolts.

They work well. I've taken some pretty dramatic falls and crashes with these brush guard extenders. Not only do they protect the bike, they protect my legs from damage. I'm a trauma surgeon, and have seen legs amputated from even low speed side impacts with cars. Guards like this prevent that. I was t-boned by an SUV so hard the SUV was totaled - but crash guards on my Ultra Limited protected my legs, which did not even suffer an abrasion, much less a fracture. One caveat is that they scratch up pretty badly if you fall and slide in gravel, as I did. I coated them with padded grip tape after a few crashes to protect the underlying finish from rusting, which I recommend. To answer the obvious question, the water bottle holders are from a bicycle. Everyone asks about those. They work very well. And the highway pegs are from AeeDEA.

Easy install, just be careful to not strip the heads of the screws when tightening to the back clamp. The Clamp will form to the existing crash bar. I recommend getting some sliders to place on the angles of the bar. BTW, they do their job and didn't snap off. as luck would have it, after my install, the bike tipped at a light before the suspension lowered and the bars held in place (I am vertically challenged so it is hard to balance when stopped).

The screws and nuts were lightweight. I drilled and switched them out for 1/4-20 pan head torx Machine screw with washer and locking nut and red loc-tite. A bit of a fussy install. I used a 1/32" thick foam double sided tape in the inside of the mounts to reduce vibration as well. Installed, the guard is rock solid.I will incorporate something to cross the gap between the engine guard and the bush guard that will provide a highway foot rest and keep my feet from slipping between the guard bars.

Very east to install. Just note the middle bar connection uses the smaller C clamp. Main reason I got them after my bike fell over it lays so flat it is difficult to pick up. I do know they work as a forum member had them and took a spill and they stood up well. They have a solid feel after you install them.I would give them 5 stars but the bolts used are not the best or biggest. Also use a little blue lock tight on them for piece of mind.

The Harley Davidson Pan America definitely needs wider engine guards. As of April 2022, there are no aftermarket one piece wide engine guards available. Although I haven’t dropped a bike in many years, dropping it just once can do a lot of damage and a snapped lever can strand you. These guards are physically a good size and shape. They attach with TINY Allen screws and 5/16 locking nuts which made me wonder how much force would be required to snap them if the bike tips over. I wish the screws and bolts were a little more robust. Better yet, I wish i could weld them on. Even better, offer one piece wide bars like on BMW police models. I’d buy something like that immediately.Shipping took 16 days to NJ. Not bad from China. The Amazon listing indicated 16 “in stock.” A day or two after ordering, I received a message indicating they’re coming from China, it may take longer than expected, do I mind? Then, Amazon showed delivery today for three days in a row before I got it. They came yesterday but Amazon is still showing them running late. Weird. It sounds like they aren’t being straight with Amazon or that the communication is simply poor.Bottom line: they look good and they visually fit the bike. I’m concerned that they will fail at the bolt-on locations because of weak components.HELLO, HD OR OTHER AFTER MARKET COMPANIES: PLEASE MAKE SOLID ONE PIECE WIDE ENGINE GUARDS FOR THIS MODEL.
