Changing the game of lawn care, one yard at a time, the GT Revolution is 3 lawn manicuring tools in one. Converts almost instantly from a string trimmer, to an in-line wheeled edger, to a mini-mower, so you get a professional-looking lawn that's easier to maintain and costs less time and money. This is so much more than a weed trimmer. It’s a Revolution. At less than 6 lbs, and with a telescoping shaft, 7 handle, and 6 rotating head positions, almost anyone can comfortably use the Revolution. The shaft is a full foot longer than the original grass trimmer, and the grips are ergonomically designed to give the user a firm handle on each of the three functions. And when you want to switch from lawn trimmer to edger or mini-mower, it’s just a push of a button and a turn of the head. No tools needed. It’s powerful, too! Spinning at 7600 revs/min and running on the same 20V 4.0 Ah Powershare battery that powers our chainsaws, the GT makes nice, clean cuts. The patented Command Feed system gives you fresh line whenever you need it—no bumping or auto-feed. With an extra spool holder right on the handle, if you do run out of line in the field, you can just pop in your extra spool without a trip back to the shed.

Not only a good trimmer, but I cut my lawn with it and it easily handles St Augustine grass !. Battery lasts 45 minutes continuous run time. Love it.

I have used my trimmer 3 times and I am very satisfied with it. My old trimmer kept losing its spool cover and I would have to buy a new one! I suspect that this may happen over time with this one, as when I ordered extra spools, I also got a new spool cover, but it has not happened yet. The trimmer is light and easy to use and the battery holds a charge to do my entire yard -- front, side, back, and garden walkway. I am not a directions reader and did not need to use the manual yet. (I have not changed the spool yet). Trying to attach the wheels does not seem intuitive, and although I have not used them yet, I will need the manual for that. BUT, I have trimmed and edged my sidewalks, gardens, along the fence and the house and it has worked wonderfully. I am very happy with this purchase.

Easy to assemble, the battery comes empty but charges to full in just over an hour. Did all the trimming I needed in about an hour - battery was still half full. Trimmer mostly plastic - lighter to use than a gas powered trimmer or my old electric trimmer but may be more fragile. Only time will tell. I’m happy now!

Good value for your buck. The battery lasted a lot longer than expected, easy to use .I only gave it a 4 star because of the string it isn't very strong having to keep extending it.

The Worx GT Revolution 20V 12" String Trimmer Grass Trimmer/Edger/Mini-Mower WG170.3 was worth the purchase. My review is based on my purchase made in May of 2024, 7 months ago. I must say I'm impressed at what this machine can do. The tap button auto string feed idea is brilliant and it's very simple to load the string spool. BTW I'm putting this machine up against my corded HD weed trimmer, even though the Worx GT isn't as powerful, it still packs a wallop and being lite and cordless is the bonus. It'll take tall weeds down to their roots and beyond quickly. The Worx didn't let me down once the entire summer. It is very light, powerful and very adjustable for both short and tall people. On one full battery charge I can easily do my 1/2 acre property and when done I still have 2 bars remaining on the battery. I held off on this review because I wanted to test it for the whole summer and give an honest review. I was impressed. This machine is great for both the young and old. The price was right too. If it breaks down this next summer, I'd wouldn't hesitate to buy another one. What a joy using this machine. I hope the review helps someone out there.

I found the Cordless String Trimmer to be very innovative, well designed, and structurally sound. After a quick assembly using the easy to read instructions and the charge-up of the battery. I gave it a quick pass around the yard. The edging feature is new to me, but worked great; as did the flower guard, and the debris guard, and all the adjustments to trimmer positioning. The unit has lots of power, and the string used is braided, and did not wear as fast as a similar unit I've used in the past. Overall, this is a very nice unit, and for the price; is a very good value. Perfect for the average home yard.

This arrived well packaged and delivered by UPS.The only tool required to assemble this trimmer is a small Phillips head screwdriver that is used to tighten the trimmer line guard in place. The actual guard slides into place easily and then tighten the screw. Job done. Next the guide wheels. These simply slide on to one of two pre-installed small brackets. The first spool of line comes already installed with two spare spools in the pack. One of these attaches to the main frame on a pre-installed holder so that you always have a spare, ready to go.The battery is pretty light and easy to attach to the tool handle. It had sufficient charge for me to strim the edges of my yard and field test the tool. The strimmer was light to carry and easy to manoeuvre and cut the long grass around the base of my gazebo. The nylon cord didn’t break away unnecessarily and appears to have remained at a constant length despite flicking up against rock boarder edges, deck posts and concrete.Remembering this is a home garden trimmer and not something meant to cut a path through the jungle I thought it was sufficiently strong enough for the uses I will put it through in order to keep my property clear of the long, straggly grass close to the deck or gazebo.Naturally and in line with my luck, the price has dropped about $30 since I paid and placed my order making it the lowest price in the last 30 days. Oh well, better luck another time for another item!

I needed a new trimmer-edger, and I had specific needs: It had to both trim and edge, and easily and neatly create a straight edge along the cement. Rechargeable battery. Lightweight - under 10 pounds. Easy to operate: switching between edge and trim, changing spools, advancing line. Reasonable cost for home use. I had a very hard time finding a unit that checked all the boxes. I looked at reviews and went to Home Depot first. I couldn’t find anyone knowledgeable to help me and nothing they had fit the bill. Then I went to Lowe’s and hit the jackpot, but not how you’d think. I asked an older guy like me for help, and told him what I needed. He looked around first to make sure his boss wasn’t close, then he said, “let me tell you what have at home: Worx. It has everything you want. I love it!” “They don’t sell them at either of the big box chains where I live. And you won’t find them rated on Consumer Reports. Buy them at Amazon.” I did, and it was the best advice. I love everything about it. It checks all the boxes. Works like a dream. No assembly. I’m not easily pleased, but I’m having fun with it. The battery lasts long enough for the hour it takes me to trim and edge. It’s powerful, lightweight, and neat.

This review is based on coming from a previous version Worx cordless trimmer and other corded trimmers. I have never used a gas-powered one, so I can't comment on any comparisons there.I basically just want to address some of the things I came across when reading reviews and basing my purchase on other people's reviews.1. The line feed button is convenient but not revolutionary. Yes, it basically just stops the trimmer to feed the line just like it would if you took your hand off the trigger. And it works. It's quick and easy. I honestly don't know why people are complaining that that's what it does. It's another way to perform a function and it works properly. I like it. Also, the extra line reel storage is another great "no duh" touch that I'm surprised is not on more trimmers.2. Conversion to wheeled edger -- I really appreciate this function. It's so nice to be able to go from trimming to edging and have a guide wheel. When I was shopping for new edgers, it seemed like this function was a dying breed and I have no idea why. Also, on this one, there is an arrow that points to exactly where the line is so it's easier to line up your edges. My previous Worx did not have that. Such a simple thing and so nice to have.3. Battery life was over an hour on the first charge (4.0ah battery) which was amazing to me. My previous Worx trimmer (32v 2.0ah) required me to have 3 batteries to get through my whole yard. With this one, I finished on just one. Who knows how well that will hold up over time, but for now, I am quite pleased.4. Power. Okay, so I was a little nervous reading that this trimmer was not strong enough to cut through some people's weeds, and coming from a higher voltage product, I feared this one would be much weaker, but it hums along just fine and seems to have at least the same amount of oomph as my old one. I don't know what kind of trees people are trying to cut down with this thing, but it cut through all my grass, crabgrass, dandelions, clover, and other weeds without issue.5. Build quality. This is where it's a bit of a disappointment. Having my previous Worx trimmer on hand to compare, I can confidently say that this new version is much more cheaply made. It just doesn't have the same solid feel as the previous one or any of the corded one's I've used. I don't know if there's more plastic or if the plastic is thinner or lower quality or what, but it just feels bad in the hand. Same with the battery. I fear a bit that it may not hold up as well as the last one, and the last one only lasted 5 years, which frankly seems a little low for this kind of product to me. But I guess that's kind of the cycle these days with electronics, right? You gotta replace your phone every two years; they probably want you to do the same with all of your battery-powered lawn tools.
