Put the bottom surface into the drilled hole and the burr into the bottom rod
Use the hole of the mounting rod to tighten and hold the burr firmly
Remove the redundant bottom bar with pliers and reserve a convex position of 2-3 mm

Cannot recommend these copper rivets. The washer is super flimsy and gets bent, and the stem of the rivet is too soft and bends in half while trying to hammer down the washer. Ruined my bag handle!

I haven't purchased the product yet, so this is not a review so much as a comment, I read other reviews and had to make this report. It appears that rivets available worldwide have 2 different systems of measurement, much like standard American (SAE) and metric. Leather crafters in the US at least have used “gauge” for sizing for a very long time. Common sizes like #9 and #12 gauge are eerily similar to metric measurements. A 10mm is very close to a #9 gauge. 13mm would be very close to 12 gauge. Use caution and pay attention to provided terms ("size" vs. "gauge") and measurements. A 9mm is smaller than #9 gauge. Almost all the complaints on rivets were about size. I believe, the buyers expectations were that a “size 9” was #9 gauge when in fact 9mm is smaller. I wish of course the vendor explained that. I feel that the product would work well for me knowing this.Keep on Craftin'

When it says 12 they are NOT #12 they are nearly 12mm (11.87mm) head diameter. Apart from that they are good rivets and I will order more in the correct size

I ordered size 12 rivets. They are marked size 12 rivets on the package. They fit perfectly in my size 9 setter. They do not fit my size 12. They are the exact same size (shaft and outer diameter) as my size 9 riviets. My conclustion is that they don't know a size 9 (larger) from a size 12 (smaller). I use both so I will keep them but beware! The burrs are loose as a goose on juice; I can set them with my fingers....you have to dome them pretty hard to get a good seat. Probably going to stick with Weaver or Osborne going forward.
