New Spiro Pro 8mm wires (high end) slide through when they tightened all the way up. Nice but not the right size as advertised. Tightened all the way up, the opening measures .325 decimal inch. 8mm is .314 in decimal inches.I have a message out to the seller for an explanation as they are advertised for just 8mm.The seller responded back to me that their supplier in essence doesn't hold much of a tolerance and that I should contact Amazon if I wished to return them as "Amazon fulfilled them". This is the comment about the measurements "This product is manually measured, so there will be an measurement difference of 1-3mm. " Take note, 1mm = .03937 (decimal inch) and 3mm = .118 (decimal inch). To put that into fractional equivalents, 1/32 of an inch = .03125 and 1/8 of an inch = .125. So...In my case, I was able to source some red electrical tape that matches the color of my red spark plug wires and by wrapping, increase the diameter enough the clamps to hold. I needed something along this order for a project and I have the skillset to make them work.If you expect these to work with 8mm wires without doing something extra (like wrapping with tape or having some of the material machined off) you will be disappointed.The ones that I have are more suited for a 9mm wire (or a 10 could work). But with such sloppy tolerances, you are rolling the dice.

Shortly after installing these on my big block Ford FE motor it started to crossfire when it got hot under the hood or on damp mornings. I tried everything to fix this and nothing worked until I removed these looms. Would not recommend or buy again. Shame, cause the red on my yellow accel wires looked great!
