I would be worried using this belt's locking mechanism to support me 20 feet up a tree, but I use it to stretch my back hanging from a limb with my feet barely touching the ground. A chiropractor suggested such a stretch. It works.

I ordered this because it is easier to use putting up climbing sticks for tree stands and lighter to carry long distances than my safety harness vest. Only complaint is it loosens itself pretty easily.

i am not using this product for climbing...I use it on my treadmill. In order for me to benefit on my treadmill, I have to use incline..( i like to use 8-10%) well, my arm hurts in doing this, because i have to hang on..but i got this belt i attach it to the treadmill using bungee cords, I can go up to 12% incline, lean into the belt, I am not holding on, I can just swing my arms. I just love this belt.. (btw i am 67)..

Belt is wonderful. I use it to haul a Jet Sled for winter camping. Ended up taking two PVC 5 footers and cross barring them from the sled (jet sled) to the sides of the belt with Caribbeaners. Great product.

I use the belt to walk two strong dogs at the same time. The product is very sturdy and easily adjustable. This is my third “ dog walking waist belt” and I think it will last the longest. My dogs pulled the stitching and broke the plastic clips on other belts over time. The belt is a little bulky but comfortable.

I am 77 and have a slight balance problem . I got this to allow me to worl on a ladder and / or scaffolding . I use a 1/4 incn rope and cam to stabilize me and quickly release when changing steps . It is lightweight but strong and I feel very steady. Con- I do not like the buckle system it seams to slip slightly but still holds . And with my arthritis it is hard to hook up . I would have prefered a cam type buckle . I would not buy again I would look for a better buckling system.
